  1. The local club is still running 3 gun matches without the tactical crap. They do not have a 2 gun class unfortunately. They have 2x4 designed for a PCC but we are not set up for. If anyone cares, the 3 gun shells run in the Stoeger but the Fiocchi shooting dynamics absolutely do not.
  2. Is anyone running the Fiocchi 3 gun load in a Stoeger M3K? Does it cycle with no problems?
  3. This!!! Run away from that builder fast. An 18 inch with an adjustable gas block is easily tuned.
  4. Syrac. That or JP but the Syrac's adjustment is more solid.
  5. This combo is asking for trouble. Look at an 18 inch if you want rifle length.
  6. Once you go over the 175-185 gr range you need the speed of a 300 win mag to make those heavier bullets effective at LR. Go for a 6.5 caliber, you will be happier.
  7. +1...if it's just as good as my Z6i but the 1-8, I would love this scope.I will say that of all the ones that I know about, except the S&B and USO, the Z6i is the best. If you wait for a deal on one, you can find them around the 2K mark. Eye box on it sucks. Turret housing is large and makes it difficult to find a mount to fit it. Best optic Under 2k IMO is the Vortex 1-6 Razor HD.
  8. As long as you are having fun, that is all that counts. I agree your transitions need work. On stage two I noticed your splits on rifle paper vs pistol paper were way slower. You start on steel from what I can tell. When you swing to the right it appears you are engaging wide open paper with the rifle. If that paper was wide open, then compare your rifle shots to the pistol paper you engage after. Your rifle cadence should match the pace of your pistol shoots.
  9. Go with the 650 and don't look back. I want another one already and I just got the first one.
  10. Interested in this too. Debating a 5 or 6 inch.
  11. I have to use a small base die to ensure my loads chamber in my 3 gun AR. It has a tight chamber at the base of the cartridge. Once I started using that die I have not had issues.
  12. I like the rifle length gas system so I use an 18 inch barrel. However I am playing around with the idea of a 16 inch mid-length since our COF's are 400 yds and in. The smoother your recoil pulse the faster you will be shot to shot.
  13. Anything that takes Tek Lok can be converted to an ELS clip.
  14. Is the barrel the correct diameter at the point you want to put the new gas block location?
  15. Forget Spin Drift for now. Make sure you are plumb and install a level. You need to switch to a 175 hand load that you can push to around 2,600 fps. The 168 sucks past 900 as mentioned earlier. Then if you want to shoot past 600 regularly, drop the 308 and get a 6mm or 6.5mm.
  16. You are going to love the ability to shed extra weight on stages where you don't need stuff!
  17. I held these today at SHOT. They have a round and octagon profile. Holy Cow they are light! I definitely want one if it I can find a length that works with my gas block.
  18. At most matches you can borrow things you don't have. I have loaned out belts, shell carriers, ammo, guns, ear plugs, etc. Most guys are willing to help out newbies as we were all there at one point.
  19. While the FN SLP is a great gun it definitely does not meet your criteria. I have have to really open the load port and trim down the handguard just to get some clearence. I think the Versamax or M2 are definitely better for your intended purpose.
  20. I love my Razor 1-6. Absolutely clear glass and the magnification range is near perfect. I would recommend one for everything from muzzle contact out to 600yds.
  21. Get the 26 inch and put a 1 piece Lancer systems mag tube on it. (Saw them at SHOT today but don't know if they are readily available yet) A bit pricey but you will have an awesome gun.
  22. Thanks. I think the spring is getting weak.
