  1. This link is now broken (points to 2021 Cameron Cup) and the results are not on practiscore. Does anyone have a copy squirreled away on their computer? I need to see how I places for something
  2. The grease (which is what they recommended I use on my open guns) is Lucas Red and Tacky. One tube is lifetime supply.
  3. I think I now own one of nearly every brand. I find the Sordins with the gel earcups the best by far for both sound and comfort
  4. I have a barrel drilled for the two slide-ride holes (Bully barrel on S&W 41). I need a picatinney rail that will screw into those holes (on which I can mount a different sight) Anyone know of somebody who makes this? Brad
  5. For this to really work properly you need something very substantial to mount it to. The Bullseye guys have spent a lot of time on this. The best was Keefers arrangement: https://www.1911forum.com/threads/ransom-rest-results.725177/ Perhaps excessive (looks like the concrete block is 3' cube) but he was one of the very best accuracy guys / machinist around. (Now passed)
  6. Anyone know what the dates are for 2023 yet? thanks Brad
  7. There were some stainless steel planter tubs on amazon a while ago that looked quite promising and were cheap
  8. For what it is worth, Infinity recommends complete tear down and respring every 1500-2000 rounds on their guns
  9. Bear in mind what is behind your berm/backstop as well. Watch any video of tracers being shot and it is scary how much stuff bounces over the berm. Not sure how far it goes, but probably a ways.
  10. I went the same route as you. Bought an Akai because it was done and available. It was a decent gun but would not run in 38 super as promised. Finally prompted my complete changeover to supercomp 3 weeks before the Nationals (did work then). On Christian's recommendation ordered an Infinity. It is just a better built gun, though more expensive. Sold the Akai and just took delivery on a second Infinity
  11. I have a large tumbler. I just use a large squirt of dawn dishwashing liquid and a sprinkle of lemishine. Cheap, works great, no disposal issues
  12. About a year. Maybe 500 rounds
  13. I really like mine. No reliability or accuracy issues with factory or my reloads
  14. Does Green Valley know what the 2022 dates are yet? thanks Brad
  15. I have one of those on a Limcat. Don;t shoot in barrel!
  16. I am signed up and practicing every day. I sure hope we get more than 65 entries... Brad
  17. Need a little help from some of the old timers. In the early 80s (had to have been 82,82 or 85) the shoot-off at the Nationals was done completely on Pepper Poppers. Might have been the match where poppers were introduced. Set up was 6 poppers on each side, 2 red, 2 white and 2 blue and then a cross-over stop set. You were started by a set of "drag race" lights in the middle, but when the lights went on you could only shoot the poppers of the corresponding color and then the stop popper. Anyone remember this? We are putting on an even for the Navy SEAL Foundation this fall and are going to set this up as one of the events. I think I remember enough to do it but was hoping someone had either a diagram or pictures from the match. Thanks for the help Brad
  18. There is an easier way to get it exactly right but requires 3 people and 2 tapes to do quickly. Rule one tape down the center line, zero at the shooting box. First guy holds end of second tape on first tape at downrange distance for a target. Second guy grabs second tape at the horizontal distance. Third guy stand in shooting box holding second tape at the sum of the horizontal distance and the hypotenuse of the triangle (you have to calculate these ahead of time). Second guy pulls tape taught and has the exact point. Sounds complex but is simple once you do one. I have laid out markers on a range for all 8 stages this way in about 20 minutes. (we pick up the markers each winter so the plow doesn't get them, we use painted fender washers and nails as markers. My range is dead level 1.5% grade so I can use the same height posts.
  19. Got this gun after all the good surplus dried up (though I have 7000 Turk that I am trying to get rid of) so I have been shooting the privi partizan. Didn't want to shoot crap in a transferable. I could stomach it at $0.60 a round but not at a dollar, but I have brass now
  20. Oh yes, I have a lot of brass. Machine guns are thirsty... I will give Dillon a call B
