  1. I can't leave well enough alone. I am putting together a 16" middy upper with a pencil barrel, Syrac Ordnance adjustable gas block, Samson evolution 15" handguard I had custom anodized green. There are a few local maches that only shoot 100 yards as well as the Pro Series so I'm gonna mess around with shorter and lighter. Jesse, I also have ordered a 15" Samson Evolution handguard for my 16" pencil barrel. What style of Syrac Ordnance adjustable gas block did you use? The set screw attachment or the clamp on style?
  2. Where is the best place to buy Beneli parts? I need to purchace parts for my bolt.
  3. I beleve that the Hornady directions ask to "Shake vigorously one minuet before use for best results" and "Shake peroidically during use." They also ask that you disamble your sizing die and throughly clean the inside to remove prior case lubricant. Other case lubricants form a protective barrier and can limit the effectiveness of ONE SHOT. Then spray the inside of the die and let it dry. I have resized 30-06,270,30-30,257R,234,22-250,222Mag AI,223,and 222 with ONE SHOT and have not had any case stick in the die. I am a happy reloader.
  4. Take the die apart and clean it. What type of lube are you using?
  5. I use a Lee Clasic 4 hole turret press. It is fine for low volume reloading of pistol ammo. Very quick changeover between calibers, especially if you have dedicated powder measures (pro auto disk) for each caliber. I am happy with mine. That said, if you are loading rifle(.223)and want to load large quanitys I would go with a red or blue progressive. I load all my rifle ammmo with the two RCBS presses I own. You have to remember that all case prep will be still have to be done prior to loading on a progressive. At that point I just continue on with the single stage presses. Old school but accurate.
  6. +1 on the Wilson trimmer. Accurate and repetable for accurate rifle ammo.
  7. How long is the brass rod you are using? My push through plunger measures 1.31 inches total length. Adjust the FCD die higher in the press to gain the max leverage possible. Just enough to push the case past the carbide ring. I have not sized any 10mm but have done many K of 40 brass. With the thicker web on the 10mm brass, it may take a little more efort. Lubricate case with One Shot or a rifle case lube and try again.

  9. Mail Man just delivered my order from MG. Met him at the truck. Life is good.
  10. Ordered bullets this week from MG. Just check comercial to delete the $5 fee.
  11. The link is to a seating die that feeds through the side. Hope this helps. http://www.meachamrifles.com/page.php?id=10
  12. Try this place out. http://www.ballisticproducts.com They have component bags to load 25 rounds.
  13. If you don't own a modern loading cataloge from at least two powder companys or bullet makers, that would be the first thing I would purchace. The information that is available on long distance shooting and reloading for long distance shooting is available on the internet and in books written by the best long distance shooter of these modern times. Learn to reload safely and follow the manuals. The '06 has good potential with the right bullet, the right rifle, and the right shooter. Good luck... Younger
  14. Have you heard anything from RCBS or find an answer to the problem?
  15. Is the deprime pin screwed in too far and hitting the bottom of the case?
  16. Do you have the die screwed down so that it touches the shell holder with the ram is fully extended? Sounds to me that you have reached the max stroke of the press ram. with the ram fully extended screw the die down so that it touches the shell holder. Then retract the ram and screw the die down 1/8 to 1/4 turn farther. This should cause a slight overcam when you raise the ram to its full stroke. Good luck.
  17. I have never used a crimp on any rifle cartridge. If the neck tension is not enough to hold the bullet in place, I polish the mandrel to reduce it's size .001 or .002 or what is needed to increase the neck tension. I personally have seen increased accuracy with this procedure.
  18. I have a PACT digitat scale. 15 or so years old. Still working great. Knock on wood!
