  1. I just installed a KKM barrel in a Glock 35. I had to make a minor adjustment to the feed ramp base pad by removing .003. This was so the barrel would clear the locking block when you put the slide on the frame. Seems I have somewhat of a high locking block on this gun. Not a big deal.Everything has a tolerance. Since installation I have fired 800 rds of Moly coated bullets with no issues.
  2. Just thought I would pass along some information. I purchased a gen 3 Glock 35 and installed a Glocktriggers.com Edge trigger from Dawson. The kit comes with two striker springs a 4.0 and a 4.5. I installed the 4.0. Trigger pull was very nice for a Glock. Fired 100 rounds with a bunch of light strikes. Basically what I found was that this trigger with the 4.0 or the 4.5 spring installed will not consistantly ignite Winchester Small Pistol Primers. Switched to Federal and solved the problem. Fired 500 rounds with no falures. My powder is Solo 1000.
  3. I use Winchester 231 which is a relativley slower burning powder and I get a better standard deviation on the loads when using the small magnum primers over the standard. The effect on velocity is minimal. I probably would not recommend using them with the fast burning powders like Solo 1000 without testing.
  4. Sorry on the caps and thanks for the tip. Just curious but why would you see less smoke with the full metal jacket over a moly bullet. Isn't the smoke caused by the interaction of the burning powder with the exposed lead? I am currently using 231 which smokes quite a bit. I used to shoot cast bullets and saw a reduction of smoke when I switched to moly.
  5. MONTANA GOLD OFFERS A FULL METAL JACKET (FMJ) AND A COMPLETE METAL JACKET (CMJ). ANYONE KNOW THE DIFFERENCE AND WHICH IS BETTER REGARDING THE ADVANTAGES OR DISADVANTAGES. I CURRENTLY USE MOLY BULLETS 180 BLACK BULLETS AND 185 PRECISION. THINKING ABOUT TRYING SOME JACKETED BULLETS. ANY ADVANTAGE TO THE JACETED HOLLOW POINT IN 180?
