Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. yeah -- I think it'll help plants grow never ever worth it to mess with mixed powders.
  2. Their site is harder than college algebra. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  3. Tough call there boss. I'd load 9mm and start a budget/savings plan to get 45acp gear. I went w/a RL550B and bought 9mm and 45acp out of the gate
  4. Run some rounds and chrono them! As long as you are having fun and shooting safely that's what really matters. -Joe
  5. I'd go with 1000 each of 124s and 115s. 147s are primarily a competition load to make minor/major PF.
  6. post a picture! something that cool is worth copying/plagarizing!
  7. @Emerson, What is your OAL & crimp? -- Joe
  8. I chrono'd at 740 fps at the county range. This was on my P250 compact. I'd really like to run 'em through a 5" bbl full size 1911. It'd be interesting to feel the recoil on a heavier body weapon.
  9. Hi, for anything from Hodgdon look at http://data.hodgdon.com The magnum primers as I remember are a longer and hotter spark. I've never used mag primers, I'd worry about TG with them. TG is pretty hot and expands quick. -- Joe
  10. Hi All, I'm getting ready to test the following load 230gr Precision Delta FMJ 6.5gr LongShot 1.25 OAL Simple questions being 1. anyone ever loaded 230gr on LongShot 2. if so, please share load data Thanks in advance, Joe
  11. I have from http://data.hodgdon.com a load for a 125gr FMJ that's 1.09 OAL & a charge range from 3.5 to 3.7, with that I'm gonna back down to 3.5gr and see where I chrono. I'm gonna be outta town for a while so I won't be able to report on my findings until the week after July 4th. If anyone has loaded a 124 on Clays, please post load data, insights, insults and heresies :-) -- Joe
  12. Hi All, I've been doing some research on Clays powder and 9mm 124s. I've come up with 3.6gr charge 1.10 OAL as a starting point. I'm going to set up 20 rounds at the above mentioned criteria, I'll pick out common cases too, I'll rent the chrono from the county range. I guess before I do I'd like inputs from those out there running Clays on 124gr Precision Deltas. I did notice this interesting thing about Clays. I had my 550 set for 4.6gr of W231. I cleared the powder measure and then tested with Clays. I did five drops and put it back into the hopper. I then tested ten drops and found them to be weighing in at 30gr. That's pretty interesting to me, but probably just blabber to veteran reloaders. The same physical space inside the powder bar that gave me 4.6gr of W231 gave me 3.0gr of Clays. Thanks in advance! -- Joe
  13. My wife does not shoot competition but thru trial & error we've found she does well with single stack pistols. -- Joe
