  1. We've recently started casting and powder coating 9mm. We're dropping 130 gr bullets and will run some of these through Lone Wolf barrels, but primarily stock Glock barrels. May I ask what OAL you've had success with for the 130's? TIA
  2. The above seems to be the trend. I put an extra power spring in my G 17 and G19 to get reliable ignition. Works for me. I never had any ignition problems using Wolf Mag SPP in 9mm though...but 1-2 /100 with Standard Tula SPP.
  3. You may have difficulty with ignition using a lightened spring. Maybe even probably... With factory spring (OEM) I would have 1-2 per 100 that would not ignite on 1st strike...but would on a second strike. This was with my Glock 17 and 19. I put an extra power striker spring on my Glocks (adds maybe an extra pound to the trigger pull) and I'm quite satisfied with the results. I still much prefer Federal SPP for match use, but I'm pleased with both Wolf and Tula primers for practice. YMMV
  4. Excellent quality, Good Guy and very busy! Well worth the wait, imho. I have one in my pocket as I type this.
  5. Greetings! My first post here. I hope I'm not breaching protocol. But this caught my attention. I'm having difficulty, like everyone, in locating Standard Small Pistil Primers. I have Magnum SSP in my reloading locker. I contacted CCI and a few other Primer manufactures for info about substituting Magnum for Standard Pistol primers. As litigious as our society has become, they obviously warn to not substitute Magnum for Standard. But, the truly useful warning, and it makes sense to me, and I'm sure most of you know this, the primary caution is regarding exceeding pressure limits in already high pressure rounds, like 9mm and 40 S&W. And to pay particular attention to OAL, since the OAL has such a profound bearing on the initial pressures. Magnum primers do cause a higher initial pressure spike than standard... so work up from midrange loadings or less for safety's sake. I have used magnum SSP in .38 spl mid-range loading before, with no visible signs of overpressure. I primarily carry, shoot, and reload 9mm. It's my chosen SD round. Historically, it was less expensive to shoot than 45acp and generates less pressure and wear than 40 S&W. I'm working up some loads for my 9mm using the Mag SSP, so we'll see how it goes. Anyway, the jest of my post was to use caution in working up higher pressure generating rounds and beware the OAL. Great Site, btw! Regards,
