I almost canceled my DWC compact pre-order to buy a KC9 Evo two weeks ago... then almost again for an STI Staccato C.
Someone tell their marketing guys to release more glamour shots to keep they hype alive. My patience is running thin
Anyone have any idea how the DWX compact grip thickness compares to a G19?

Yep, my last early adoption broke in 2 days (P365).
I would be super sad if something similar happened to an $1800 dollar gun after waiting for another 6+ months.

Yep, I wish they would at least post more pictures of it up on their instagram in the meantime.

I certainly hope they weren't sourcing any of their raw materials from Asia. That would definitely slow things down a bit.

From the shot show vids I've seen, the rep wasn't sure if a 1911 hammer was compatible with the DWX. Does anything have to be done aside from regular fitting? Pondering if a Ned K FallArrest set would work. I had a dream a gun went off while carrying AIWB so it's started this irrational fear of catastrophic mechanical failure.

But anyhow, good question. Most likely will not fit if it's kydex, dwx is a little shorter from top of the slide to bottom of the rail than a railed 1911 and a little bit wider at both the slide and frame (~24.1mm dust cover width, ~24.9 slide width.) but to be honest I havent had a chance to try any commander length full rail holsters out. Leather may be a bit more forgiving.
I do know however they have been working with multiple holster companies to get product available so hopefully should see some dedicated options out before too long.
Ah, meant 4.25". Thanks for the info! That's good to know. Damn, I was really hoping the slide would be the same width as a 1911.
