  8. Can anyone tell me if Hastings still makes trigger groups for Remington 1100? and do they make them for the 20 gauge guns ? Thanks, Stewart
  9. Paul Hyland asked this question, on another site, and I wondered also - can anyone help? "At the World Assembly in Cebu the new Production Division was launched, prior to this there was no Production Division recognised by USPSA. IPSC had a list on it's web site of all the guns that were valid for production. The list was to be amended each year with any new guns that met the criteria at the SHOT show. The new division was accepted by the IPSC assembly. USPSA then changed the definitions of what constituted a Production Gun; The magazine restriction I can understand, I have no problem with that, but can someone explain to me why the criteria for guns was changed ?"
  10. Well, since I was asked - This is the way I think USPSA should be going! With the help of the Board of Directors, I would attempt to implement the following items, If elected President of USPSA - 1. Mandatory disclosure statement from all Officers - NROI Director and Area Directors. This disclosure would be available to all members. 2. Open up the process, members to be allowed to attend the annual board meeting and make comments. All member input on any rules changes. Have the rules stable for at least 5 years. 3. Two Nationals a year -- All Pistols -- 3 Gun 4. Align the Production rules more with the IPSC Production rules. 5. More stringent enforcement of equipment rules and chronograph. 6. A yearly Awards Banquet, held in conjunction with the Shot Show, that would recognize all the Point Series Divisional Champions - National Team to be selected from Points Series Champions - expand Points Series to include - Ladies - Junior Thanks, Stewart Pomeroy
  11. Carlos and others: I understand that this is not the place for Presidential debates or discussion. Therefore, if you have questions regarding my positions ie: USPSA direction and policies - my email is "WriteInPresident@aol.com" - I will respond promptly. Thanks Stewart Pomeroy
  12. Carlos: I would not reduce the divisions. I do think that USPSA Production rules need to be more in line with IPSC, and not become another arms race. Thanks Stewart
  13. Please to remember that there are THREE candidates for USPSA President - one being myself, a write-in candidate- thanks, Stewart Pomeroy
  14. Am I reading the new rule update right? Is the new power factor, for Open, to be 160 with no less than a 120 bullet? - yet modified and standard are both170 pf and no specification on bullet?
  15. If others don't understand the reasons for numerical representation, then so be it. If others don't see the need for more oversight of the executive council, then so be it. If others don't comprehend the need for total, complete financial accountability, then so be it. If others don't believe there is a need for a comprehensive rule book that is universally accepted, then so be it. If others don't realize that USPSA shooters don't represent the USA, then so be it. They represent a minuscule portion of the US populace, and in fact the majority of Americans' have never heard of USPSA or IPSC. That is the one of the major problems! In USPSA and IPSC there have been far too many suspect deals and questionable practices. To be accepted in the USA and the World, any shooting sport has to be above reproach. Any empirical attitude, by the leaders, is unacceptable and secrecy is always suspect. The largest numerical regions have to have the greatest influence and input. I believe that USPSA has to lead the parade.
  16. Double Tap: You are right - I forgot this was the Enos forum. My name is Stewart Pomeroy - AOL email - P9x25@aol.com - my USPSA# B4
  17. noname:Sorry I have taken so long to respond, I was taken to task for "trolling" and stirring up controversy. As I have heard so often in the past, I cannot, nor will not, respond to someone that chooses too hid behind a nom de plume.
  18. IPSC WITHDRAWAL TRIVIA QUESTION : Who said - "What is the worst thing about IPSC?....The fact that each country gets one vote - no matter how many or how few shooters are actually participating in that particular country. Ohhh. That's gonna leave a mark. "
  19. You all are right -- this is not the appropriate venue to question IPSC and its impact on the shooters in the USA.

  21. Denise: I am not attempting to denigrate anyone's character or reputation. I simply believe that we, as shooters in the USA, do not receive the attention that our numbers warrant. I feel that the current situation, is a case of the tail wagging the dog. I believe that USPSA would better serve the membership if it was to withdraw from IPSC. In that case, our vote would count equally.
