Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I ran my first reloads through my 1911 yesterday. All cases were small pistol primers. They proved to be more accurate than any factory ammo I've run so far. All the Best, D. White
  2. I can't guarantee it helps but it's real easy and inexpensive to put a layer of Lee Liquid Alox on your bullets. I do this and have not had any terrible leading problems. Even running these through a stock G22 barrel there have been no issues. I can't guarantee it helps but it doesn't seem to hurt. Unique is THE magic juju for lead bullets in all calibers. All the Best, D. White
  3. Thanks again for the replies. WST seems to be a BIG favorite for cast lead bullets in general. I'm probably going to try Universal and AA#7 incrementing up until leading improves or gets worse. I'll give the barrel a good brushing between strings. All the Best, D. White
  4. Thanks for the replies. This seems to be a complex issue. Some do without question. Others couldn't be paid to. For those that do, what powders are you using? Some powders contribute more to leading than others. Thanks again. All the Best, D. White
  5. [note: merged thread] Any issues with excessive leading? Any high pressure symptoms? Accuracy good? Apparently some do this with good results, others not so good. All the Best, D. White
  6. 40 S&W 3.2 grains (0.5cc) Clays 180gr truncated cone lead bullet WSP primer 1.130 OAL Accurate. Soft shooting. Clean. No chrono data. I wanted something soft shooting and easy to control. This fit the bill. All the Best, D. White
  7. 3.2 grains of Clays. Soft shooting, accurate, clean. Cleanest powder I've ever used. All the Best, D. White
