  1. Tom, won't you get trajectory "problems" when shooting such heavy bullets at speeds that low? I've once saw Brian E. (wrote it her on the forum somewhere) put a lighter bullet on top of the same load (out of "lazyness"). Makes sense to me, but I would check in the Other sport shooting forum first. I believe that's wher the thread is . It's a thread on Steel Challenge Loads, I believe. And maybe this would make a nice thread in the Loading Forum. Anyways, good luck developing a new load. Wish I could help you, but I just shoot IPSC.
  2. I developed a method for manually loading the clips with no risk for sore thumbs. Press in two rounds next to eachother in the clip. Now grab those two rounds with the index of your left hand and insert the two rounds opposite the two rounds you've loaded first. Next, load the two remaining rounds. It's fast and my thumbs don't hurt afterwards. (Edited by spook at 3:39 pm on Jan. 26, 2003)
  3. OK, point taken, Jeez. I was only trying to cheer you up a bit.
  4. TL, I think if you would ever check out one of P Diddy/Puff Daddy/Sean Combs' videos, you would think that that's his interpretation of "...wine, women and song" . I now know how I can get you mad. I'll "translate" some of Shakespeare's work to Ebonics. I can see it already. "To be or not to be, that be the question".
  5. Travis, yeah, it's expensive. The VV powders are really cheap though, being manufactured in Europe. Thanks, Björn D.
  6. TL, you REALLY don't like rap, do you? You do crack me up though. It nice to read some of this very convincing ranting. Cheers, Björn
  7. TL, you're right. Their english is very bad from a philological POV. But I think that is not really what they're worried about. It would be like telling Picasso or Pollock that "some of his painting don't look real". I can understand you don't like Pollock paintings (I know I don't), but saying it doesn't look right from a technical POV doesn't really make sense. You would just say ït looks like s#it" BTW, it really weird, but I've noticed my english is actually better that that of most rappers, and I've spent approx. 3 weeks in countries where english is the first language. That kind of makes you wonder, doesn't it?
  8. I can not understand how you can think that people like the black eyes peas, de la soul or the roots are negative? I am a big fan of hiphop and rap music, and I can REALLY understand why people don't like IT (as if IT is just one thing) from a general perspective, which has to be a musical one. But how can you not like it from a verbal perspective, when it's verbally one of the the most diverse music styles?
  9. Cool Travis, thanks for sharing the info. Guess I'll stick to VV. Asked around. TG is around $41 for a pound here!!!
  10. Good thing you posted. THS, what kind of pouch do you use?
  11. THS, a friend of mine who also posts here (A33435) has new CR belt and safariland pouches. Long story short: nothing fits the belt except for CR stuff.

    Barely sixteen

A policeman was patrolling a local parking spot overlooking a golf course. He drove by a and saw a couple inside with the dome light on. There was a young man in the driver's seat reading a computer magazine and a young lady in the back seat knitting. He stopped to investigate. He walked up to the driver's window and knocked. The young man looked up, cranked the window down, and said, "Yes Officer?" "What are you doing?" the policeman asked. "What does it look like?" answered the young man. "I'm reading this magazine." Pointing towards the young lady in the back seat, the officer then asked, "And what is she doing?" The young man looked over his shoulder and replied, "What does it look like? She's knitting." "And how old are you?" the officer then asked the young man. "I'm nineteen," he replied. "And how old is she?" asked the officer. The young man looked at his watch and said, "Well, in about twelve minutes she'll be sixteen."
  13. Also phara, you can fix the dillon problem, by installing one of those full lenght size dies, I think Lee makes one.
  14. No phara, I don't mean PULLING them out. When you reload, you toss the cylinder open with the fingers of your weak hand, right? (if not, ignore the rest of this BS ) You can then, at the same time push the rod with your thumb. This saves time (no "second"movement) and it is less painful.
  15. Hi Travis, your thread and the replies made me ask about TG. I currently load .45 ACP to 170+ PF. The components I use are Federal LP 150 primers and Frontier 230 grain RN copperplated bullets. And of course VV N320. I like the feel of N320, but it's dirty (at least in my gun, a model of 1988 S&W). I am really interested in how TG works out for you. Lemme know if you like it. And thanks for the reply.
  16. If it really bothers you (and I know it bothered me), why not use the thumb of your hand to toss out the empties?
  17. OK, I've posted a while ago that my revolver gets really dirty with my current load using VVN320. Patrick Sweeney made a good comment when he said it might be the gun, not the load. I found out it's not the gun. So I'm switching from VV N320 to something else. He suggested N310. And I've read in recents posts Titegroup is really, really clean. Here in Europe I can get the VV powders relatively cheap. The US powders are more expensive. So, before I go out and buy some TG, I would like to know how fast it is compared to the VithaV powders. (Because I like fast powders and if TG is slow, I won't even bother). So if there's any one out there that knows (and I know there is:))....
  18. Hey A3, For the same price? (sorry guys, inside joke) Nice going. I'll see how it works for you and I might buy one for my revolver.
  19. Yeah, you gotta love those loser-teams. I used to be a big Indians fan until they started winning too much.
  20. Hi Rd, This is the link. 625 and 610 can be treated the same. The essentials are in there. http://www.brianenos.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard...43&topic=10
  21. Dude, isn't Bruce Piatt a LEO?
  22. Dude, isn't Bruce Piatt a LEO?
  23. Deke, if those are your concerns, why not start with some light calibers and build up to what you want? It's probably going to take some time, but I think this has everything to do with YOU feeling comfortable about shooting. I would take it easy and work it up. Just my 2 cents.
  24. Brian, I found some really cool ones @ http://www.gamespy.com/avatars/
  25. Deke, I think that giving you advise on this case is up to a medical expert, instead of a shooter. No offense meant. (BTW, if you're just looking to share experiences with other shooters that went through HS, than you can just ignore my comment;)) Good luck.
