Erik Warren, thanks for the link. I'm still laughing. Got anymore of that stuf?
  2. Mikey, the speedsec.5 from Hoppner&Schumann is really fast. I've heard Julien Boit shoots one. He's on this board. Check in the Gear and Accesoires forum for the thread.
  3. Precisie = accuracy Kracht = power Snelheid = Speed Precisie = pronounced "prey-see'-see" Kracht = pronounced Kragt (with the unpronoucable hard dutch "g") Snelheid = pronounced "snel-haid'" BTW, cool idea. Björn
  4. Yeah, it's probably for real. This is the stuff that sickens me. OK, sh!t is not going like it should. OK, there are some people in high positions that made really big mistakes (like Saddam ) How is boycotting going to help? I think if we (the free democratic world) want to make this operation less of a PITA, we should all help getting it over with ASAP. I'm not defending the UN, but they had a point with their inspections. US started a war and now the UN are sitting there doing nothing. If all the UN countries would help the alliance, this friggin' thing would be over in no-time. Sh!t hit the fan and it's not a time for people to slow things down. Slowing things down by boycotting and sabotaging the operation will turn this war into a second Vietnam or Stalingrad (Baghdad).
  5. All CR holsters are the same. The only difference is in the types of spacers you put in the triggerguard guard and the muzzlecups are different. IOW, you can buy a 1911 holster from CR (it has all the spacers) and look for one of the aftermarket or CR muzzlecups that are made for revolvers (if you can find them here). You could also go to www.doublalpha.biz and order one from Saul Kirsch. I know he ships overseas (he's located in Europe). He might be able to send just the cup. He deals directly with the folks at Rescomp I believe. But I think the best thing you can do is to try and reach rescomp at www.rescomp.co.za They'll know where you can buy one in the US.
  6. Congratulations to those who moved up! Tom, I know what you mean. I used to shoot auto's only. Then I bought a really old 625 two years ago. Now I'm selling auto's to buy more revolvers.

    Stupid People

Thanks for the kind words guys. I seriously need to think of a plan to get my ass overseas. I guess I'll get so fed up with this sh!t after a while I'll just go
  8. Do you think there's room over there in the US for someone who's starting to hate Europe? There are so many people against "the war" over here, and when you ask them why, they say: "Because innocent people die". So, I try to explain that Saddam kills more innocent people a day than this whole war does. It doesn't matter to them. They're still against the war. They'll always be against the war. Because "WAR"sounds worse than "REGIME". I saw a former-Iraqi on TV today. He lives in my country. He came here to get food and money and to live in freedom. He spoke my language. He said he was against the war. He said he didn't like to see "his" city getting bombed. If you don't like to see that, then why te f*ck did you move here? I was thinking if we could make a trade. Move one of those US hippies to my country to protest against freedom and move me to the US. Because I'm starting to hate this place.

TL, look at where his feet are. 1st pic in the box, 2nd out of the box.
  10. It could use a rear sight too Nice gun!
  11. Dave, The last El Prez I tried was a little over seven seconds (7.10). Draw is somewhere in the 1.25 area. Reload under 2.5. My reloads are generally speaking between 1.95 and 2.50 seconds. If I screw one up really bad, it's 3.0 (at 10 meters or so). My draws are generally speaking between 0.95 and 1.35 seconds. Fastest reload ever timed 1.91 Fastest draw ever timed 0.94 Fastest split ever timed 0.25 Sounds like you're on the right track. 8.80 is good. Especially since you've only been shooting for a short time (revolver that is). Björn
  12. Wow Intel, that's pretty amazing. .16 splits! How long have you been shooting revolver? And how did you manage to get your splits so low? The reason I'm asking is that I can't shoot faster than .25 splits with my Miculek springs in my 625. Strange thing is that I shoot those splits also when I'm engaging 25 yard targets (and get good hits). But up close, I should be able to hose faster. Any suggestions?
  13. BTW, don't forget that lighter is not neccesarily faster.
  14. Sound like a good plan.
  15. What most people say is revolver friendly, are stages that require very few static reloads. My definition of revolver friendly is non-existant. I don't believe in revolver friendly. As long as everyone has a 6 shot revolver, everyone has to go through the same stage.
  16. Use Federal primers. Set your mainspring to where it runs reliably and LOCK TITE it! (use the blue stuff) Dry fire like there's no tomorrow.
  17. That's the spirit man!! Another one joined the ANCIENT side. Good luck with your fine purchase (and get that Jerry guy)
  18. I personally like fast powder and heavy bullets. I shoot a 625 and use 4.9 grains of N320 under a 230 grain copperplated bullet. Lighter bullets (200 grains) are OK, but when I go too light (185), it kicks harder. FWIW, Jerry M. uses heavy bullets and fast powder. If I had a 610, I'd probably use N320 under a 180 grain bullet. General rule of thumb: Fast powder and heavy bullet flips more. Fast powder and light bullet kicks more. Slow powder and heavy bullet kicks and flips like hell. So you'll have to decide wether you want the kick or the flip. I chose the flip.
  19. I talked to Saul Kirsch some time ago and he showed me his BUL M5 with Koenig hammer. He really liked it.
  20. INFP. But... I don't believe 72 questions can determine which TYPE of person you are. There are no psychological theories, you can depend on for 100%. There are no TYPES of persons. And there were about ten questions in that test that didn't make me doubt.
  21. I've seen pictres of Jerry shooting his S&W .38 upside down (the gun, not him )
  22. I'm with both of the guys here. I heard Saul Kirsch has a stopwatch and times the swinger. He knows what he can do before engaging it. You'll have to be VERY confident to apply this strategy. So, if you're not what A3 says makes sense. You can notice the swinger while engaging static targets and anticipate when you'll shoot it (also what Jake said).
