That screw makes fitting the hammer to the sear a 60 second job, but be sure to use some blue loc-tite on the threads.

It's drawn screwy to me. Look at the "ARROW" pointing up. The bottom of the arrow says FAST. As you go up the arrow, the powders get slower. I corresponded with a reloader in Spain. He confirmed this. The powders that are made by the main company are about all they can get in Spain. He shoots a CZ Shadow 9mm for IPSC using a slower powder.he says is comparable to Unique.

Steve, The "MaXam" "CSB" powders range from #10 = slowest (a guy in Spain says it's close to the same burn rate/speed as Unique), # 8, #6, and #5 that is the fastest of these--closest to vv n320., The MaXam chart shows some more below these that is said to also be slower. These are all designed as shotgun powders. There is another Spanish shotgun powder--can't remember the name offhand-- that tends to be slower yet. It's available here at one or maybe more sites. RIO shotgun shells use these powders.

I've shot a few hundred more rounds loading 4.25 avg. grs under 124 MG/Zero/PD JHPs and they've all shot and feel well. If VV n320 doesn't become available soon, I'll be buying more of the MaXam CSB-5 as an available alternative.

Just something that helped me--a lot, don't try to carefully plan your foot movements for the turn. Just like shooting transitions lead with your eyes. Snap your head and eyes around to the target and let nature happen. If your wife (?) was behind you and said 'help!', you wouldn't plan which foot to move first. You can refine that very natural quick turn-around as needed for the position/situation (like toes on the "X"es).

I've shot both one and two several times, and include it as part of routine practice now. Is there a "step-by-step" suggested way to expand the simple target set-up to best practice direction and sequence changes? CTR, LFT, RGT,, CTR, RGT, LFT?? OR other?

I also test the first batches that make speed and 'feel' right, freehand shooting fast and slow at 10 yards. If they look good I load up a bigger quantity to test them from close in out to 25 yrds. Always testing initially at the same distance works for me to compare new loads with trusted reloads. You don't have to shoot many to find out if they are in the ballpark. YMMV.

At out local ranges, the star is 10 to 17 yds most of the time. When no shoots are in front of it , it's usally inside 15 yds.

Yes and no. I shoot a modded 75B and a modded 75 Shadow with a mix of their available parts.. JMHO: The CZC Comp Hammer and the CGW Race hammer both have improved hammer hooks to make a good clean break with no camming back. (CGWs Race hammer is NOT production lclass legal) CZC uses the original CZ75 disconnector for their short reset disconnectors. CGW has them machined to their specs. Either of these work as advertised. CGWs parts are for the action primarily, grips etc come from CZ-USA/CZC CGW's machining of all their parts is really stellar. The metal is smooth without even minor flaws and very hard. A little polishing and it's like a mirror CGW makes some parts that are good to have. Their trigger pin is lifetime warranted and much easier/simpler to install/remove and no punch is required. Their sear is cut beautifully and has an available adjustable safety arm so any new hammer will fit with a few tweeks to the safety arm adjustment--no fitting required. For the "B" guns their FP 'pin' is hardened and their extended FP notch curve is radiused to fit the pin evenly , so it doesnt break with dry fire. Warranted for life. CGW offers a little wider range of recoil and hammer springs made to their specs. I'm not selling anything. They both have good parts that work. Service is excellent+ from both and they both back up their parts and work..

I agree with the possible sweet triggers in 75s with the FPB. My 75B has almost the same DA and the same SA pull as my modded 75 Shadow Custom. The slight difference is the the FPB pull has to be just a wee bit longer than the non-FPB gun to actuate the FPB actuator arm next to the sear. Lightening the FPB spring and polishing everything makes it allllmost a non-issue .

Well, there IS the old way to work up without load data. I'm not encouraging that; but if you do, I'd treat CSB-5 like a "hot Powder" in a very careful load work-up. I also would carefully use a chrono and look for "any" signs of overpressure in the cases. If the load increases show any abnormal or non-linear speed increases with small increases of powder---I'd call it a day. But that's just me.

The guy there, allowed me buy 4 lbs instead of the 8 lb minimum order shown on the site. Smitty has done some tests and I followed him. The powder granules are very small light colored discs, two laying flat will just fall into a 9mm flash hole. They are also extremely light weight so getting n320/7625 powder drop consistency didn't happen with my Lee Disk system. After that, 4.2, 4.3 grs fills the case to slightly below or just touching the base of a 124/125 HP/FP bullet seated a little deep and gets 133-ishPF. The above powder data is scanty and shows a wide load spread, but small changes made noticeable differences over my chrono. I saw no smoke, and it's moderately clean. Haven't tried heavier bullets I need to shoot it more before I'm sold on this powder. Don't get me wrong, it will run for 124/125 minor PF; but IMO it's not God's gift to 9mm reloaders. . P.S. I just revisited this site, and they have renamed and relabeled the powder jugs to "Commercial #5". A powder distributor friend had told me it's not legal for these guys to relable and sell the MaxaM powder not approved for import. I don't know anything about this aspect---just saying. He also told me it IS legal to buy it.

CZC is great. CGW parts themselves are amazing and David knows the 75 pistols. ** David's 'race hammer' isn't production legal.** Otherwise his parts and service are outstanding. Both will walk you through what you want and how to get it without rushing you at all.

Runs fine for those weights in minor PF. Has the 'good' VV characteristics, clean, cool burning and linear with load builds. I've also used it for 124gr S.D. loads to 1200+ fps in a 4.6" CZ, and it still shot comfortably and behaved well.

VV was not making 'commercial' powder for some time. A new company (can't remember the name) has taken over, and said they were refurbishing the plant and would restore stock soon. They were said to have a large stock of major contract powders still on hand and that was all they were making at the time of the turnover. Sorry, I do not remember where I saw this info. Maybe this is the cause of sudden changes in performance. (?) I'm using older n320 4# jugs with no changes in mine so far..

I load the ZERO 125gr JHP (never have seen a Zero 124gr JHP .355 9mm bullet even offered from ROZE.) 4.1 grs n320, Fed SPP at 1.098"-1.100 in a CZ 75 Shadow gets over 130 PF. It shoots soft and accurately for me in a 75B or the Shadow. This first then the MG 124gr are my preferred n320 or SR 7625 loads Angus H. posted an even lighter load as his preferred with the 125 Zero back several years ago..

Loading them deeper in the case provides better assurance of a concentric bullet seat. The bullet also doesn't get 'knocked' out of being concentric hitting the feed ramp. YMMV

The adjustment screw on my HAJO Shadow sight snapped and I contacted CZC. They sent me the screw and new springs immediately. Did you talk to Stuart? On this gun, the screw was cut wrong. The replacements were stronger.

That's a conservative starting load, so you should be fine. Going up .2 grs at a time is also what I'd do with the wide load range given. Sure would have been nice if it showed pressures, which means it MAY HAVE come out of an actual pistol instead of a test bbl with pressure readings...

Has anyone had experience loading CSB5 (shotgun powder made in Spain) out of straight wall pistol loads. Load data looks promising.

1. Arredondo brush 2.+10% springs 3. I get very good results using premium car polish inside and outside the mags. (Meguiars Gold liquid car polish or similar) Makes them slippery inside and out, doesn't collect crud and prevents corrosion. Lasts a long time. 4. No worries
