  1. Welcome to the forum! But, let's leave politics out of this, ok?
  2. Try around 3.5 of VV N320. My Production load is 3.5 of N320 with a 147, with a coated 147 RN, giving me a PF of 131 in Shadow 1. Yeah, the 115 will be faster, but you could drop that charge down to probably around 3.0 and with the right recoil spring, it should still run...and, the 147's at 3.5 grains are super soft in the Shadow.
  3. Probably the other way around. With a faster powder, it doesn't take as much to reach a certain pressure, not making as much gas, with a slower powder it takes more, making more gas, which would work the comp better
  4. Gotta be the brass then. I used mixed brass, pretty much same setup, but I'm getting much less variation...like .005
  5. How did you set your press up? With a case in every station? The shell plate can rock some if you try to set it up without a case in every station. In other words, load 2-3 fulle rounds, then check the one in the seat station, leaving all others on the press...then adjust the die to the OAL you want.
  6. Power Pistol won't be ideal...and it will have a bright camera flash at heavier charges.
  7. Cabelas in Noblesville, IN had a good stock of primers...Fed small, Fed magnum small, Winchester small, etc...no limit that I know of, but...$89.99 per 1k of the Wins and others, $95.00 per 1k of the Feds.
  8. They may be protected under the Migratory bird treaty, but it is not illegal to shoot them, provided they are in season, and you have the proper hunting license, if required. In Florida, no license is required. Most other states have similar regulations.
  9. If you are using Winchester primers, a trick you can do is take an empty primer tray, put it exactly over the top of a full primer tray, then turn upside down, holding the 2 of them together. Most of the primers will flip into the empty tray. Some will be sideways, but you can run your finger along them and finish flipping them. Then, take your primer flip tray and place on top of the now flipped primers, and holding the 2 together, flip again onto the primer flip tray. Remove the empty primer tray. Most of your primers will be flipped the correct way, in nice & neat rows, evenly spaced, very easy to pick up with the primer tubes.
  10. This Hate rant has turned into a discussion, which is beyond the bounds of the rules for the Hate Forum. Thus, it must be closed. Please review the Hate Forum Rules: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8097 [note: this is a generic response]
  11. If you want to limit your mags to 10 rounds each, with an iron sighted, near factory pistol DA/SA, striker fired (no magwell, barrel porting, etc) reload mags a lot during, then it is Production division. If you want more ammo in a mag and an optic, with DA/SA, then Carry Optics. If you want SA only with an optic, then Limited Optics If you want SA only, no optic, then it's Limited 10 or Limited. If you want a 1911 SS, then Single Stack division. If you want to do juat about anything you want to a gun, then Open Division. If you want to shoot a revolver, then Revolver division. If you want to shoot a PCC, then PCC division.
  12. Here is a link to the USPSA rulebook. https://uspsa.org/rules
  13. What pistol do you currently have? It may fit pefectly into another division (there are divisions for just about everything anymorel.
  14. I don't think the admins have a problem with that.
  15. Trace, I reload on an old 550...and I CRUSH my primers in. I have never detonated a primer that way, and some of the finished rounds, I have no idea why they didn't detonate (small piece of debris on the primer seat leaving a large indentation on the primer). I'd keep the 1050 and maybe ramp up to 700-800 an hour.
  16. Another thing to try is re-starting your phone. That should force a new IP address.
  17. I'd have to look in my notebook, and I'm not home right now, but I don't remember anything odd about the standard length.
  18. Doesn't seem like a waste to me. I have a TSO in 40, shoot quite a bit of minor ammo through it. Also shoot a SP01 Shadow in Production, and before the Shadow, was shooting an XdM in 40 in Production. 40 minor, is, in my opinion, softer than 9mm minor, given specific loads for each. I have friends that have TSO's in 9mm, and have given them my 131 PF Production ammo to shoot, and the handed them my TSO in 40 with it's 134 PF minor ammo, and all have said it was softer than the 9mm. As for a second slide, it might be cheaper just to get your current slide milled, and get a plate that can be put back on it for Limited. Yes, you may have to site it back in everytime to switch back and forth, but I think that wouldn't be too bad.
  19. I'm pretty happy with this one. https://www.amazon.com/Browning-Crossfire-Range-Bag-Black/dp/B00RPCHA54/ref=mp_s_a_1_12?adgrpid=59868634201&hvadid=274702774443&hvdev=m&hvlocphy=200534&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=4522399574991606429&hvtargid=kwd-302525961498&hydadcr=9874_9624906&keywords=browning+range+bag&qid=1688411305&sr=8-12
