  1. The Colts not only look great but they perform very well. I just picked up a CRP-18 and put a LaRue QD mount and a MTAC 1x4. Very slick setup IMHO.
  2. Usually they don't even have Rear sights On them. I have seen many flat top ar15's with an a2 front sight
  3. On 4-14-11 I called Ingi and ordered a high performance edge and mags. I picked it up at my FFl on 4-20-11 and a few days later put about 400 flawless rounds through it at the range. On 4-23-11 I shot a classifier match and made "A" in L-10. Prior to this I was shooting a G35 in Limited at about a 66% "B" class shooter. The gun ran great with zero malfunctions. I am a very pleased customer looking forward to shooting Limited at Area 1. Thanks for the amazing products.
  4. Thank God there were some brave heros to stop this gunman, unlike some who cowered behind concrete posts pretending to already be dead, and then rushing to be a witness for the media.
  5. My Kimber stainless target II is a 9mm and came from the factory with a .40 cal breechface and runs 100%. There is a thread here about Kimber using a .40 breachface for thier 9mm for a few years. I'm going to have a .40 barrel fitted to it and it should be just fine.
  6. He might be gone but he owned up. Lots of class from blake
  7. My co-worker Bill Garland Jr. GM Porduction. He introduced me to USPSA and with his help i got my B card three months after i started shooting.
  8. I haven't asked yet. The new calculator puts it at a little over 89% but i don't think anyones tri-county scores were included in the last update.
  9. I first read Atlas Shrugged about four years ago and really enjoyed it. The Fountainhead is a great read also and i try to re-read each one about once a year. I will now be getting a copy of Unintended Consequences and hope it meets the standard set by the other two books i mentioned.
  10. Had ths one last weekend. B class SS 58 pts 7.69 sec 7.5423 HF It was good enough for second place on that stage for the match. Will have to wait till next month to see my precentage. It has already been addressed in other threads, but it seemed odd to have ammo on the table when there was no required reload during the COF. Have any other SS shooters had this one yet? If so what was your HF?
  11. you were playing Pac Man
  12. for the past two years i have been using 4.2-4.3 gr of Universal Clays, 125gr .356 Zero rn and federal primers. it made 132 pf at last years Nats. it has a very quick reciol impulse to get the sights back on target and is very managable during rapid fire. im using this ammo for my g34 and my 1911.
  13. If you can only shoot one match a month my suggestion would be to shoot tri county. Its close by, the stage design is great, and there is usually a good turn out with great competition. Plus, you don't need to be a range member to shoot uspsa at any of the clubs I have been to so you wont have to pay for another membership.
  14. Eric, like shootsinrain said you are in a great section for uspsa shooting. There are lots of great matches held here every month and most are less then an hour away from where you live. Drrc puts on a good training match but you should try to make it to one of the other uspsa sanctioned matches. There are quite a few very good shooters in each division here and when you shoot with them its like getting a free lesson. There is a different element to the game from your home range to the other matches/facilities. In short, just shoot more matches.
  15. you dont need to gain weight. i just think of it as "tactial girth" the more circumfrence you have, the more cool stuff you can carry
  16. Five on my belt and one in the gun. But, I'm shooting 9 mm minor so get to load my mags with ten
  17. Eagle 40, did you complete your conversion? i have the same Kimber and was considering doing the same with a Nowlin barrel. did you have to change anything else?
  18. So after playing around with the gf's droid phone she finally got me one last week for my b day. All I can say is WOW! This thing browses the web faster then my laptop at work, has more features then I will ever know how to use and allows me to surf and post on BE (like I am doing now). I am very pleased with this phone
  19. steel1212 Posted Today, 12:09 PM Bullies are great family dog but don't expect much from them Only concerns I have with them is they WILL have A LOT of health issues. FYI look at the University of Georgia's mascots average life span. Granted that is the most inbred line of dog I have seen next to the medical beagle!! Yeah a bullie will protect the couch that they take their nap on and thats about it. As far as heath problems you have to get one from a very good breeder to reduce the risk of problems, which means they cost alot of $$$
  20. i vote for an English Bulldog. their value as a guard dog is zero, well they might lick the intruder to death, but as a family/companion dog i havent found one that is better. there also great with kids. i got mine at www.qualitybullies.com

    G34 Variants

the older gen 1 and 2 glocks did not come with a tac rail. the new models have a tac rail on them and finger grooves in the grip.
  22. Matt, thanks for saying what i was thinking. My large hands combined with a long, flat trigger, the pad of my finger is perpendicular with the trigger face. Granted the lenght would be different for everyone, and i dont have alot of posts here, but that combo works very well for me.
  23. Sigfla, i started shooting my 1911 this year which has a stantard lenght curved trigger. i have slightly larger hands then normal and have found that on some occasions my i get too much finger on the trigger (the trigger touches closer to the first knuckle then the tip of my finger). i have also noticed my trigger finger feels unnatural and bunched up when im shooting and im not able to be as gentle with the trigger. i recently bought a 1911 that has a SV long flat trigger and love it. it allows my finger to be straighter and more rexaled. it keeps me from putting too much finger on the trigger (now jut the tip of my finger lands on the trigger). with the front of the trigger being flat i get the same trigger pressure reguardless of where my finger lands (at the top, middle, or bottom of the trigger). i belive the SV triggers are fairly inexpensive and would be worth trying out.
  24. Graf and sons has Federal magnum SPP in stock. Today they called me to fill my back order on 10K Federal #100 SPP (not magnum) but the web site still shows them to be out of stock.
