  1. Our IDPA club has been getting 80-90 shooters regularly. We would shoot 5 stages, starting at 9ish and be completely done including tear down and awards by around 2-2:30. The range recently got 3 more bays. The last match we shot 6 stages and still finished around the same time. The key hangups we see is stages that are unequal length. You'll get a major backup if there are super short stages and long stages. Try to keep them about the same duration. We have the designated RO's for each squad do a walk through of all the stages instead of a mass walk through. It's easier to have 15 RO's walk through the stages first then 70+ people. Each squad still get the walk through before they shoot. We usually have the RO's walk through around 8am during registration. Registration is split up into members and non-members. Members are already in the computer database so they only have to sign the waiver and pay.
  2. Early model P7 series had a roll pin through the front sight and a screw through the rear. Both were eliminate later on, probably due to being way overkill.
  3. There are a couple in the catalog that are M1 but .05 Mils which is way too small. On Sniper's Hide, someone just got M1 knobs installe from their custom shop that were .1 Mil.
  4. If you are in the process of falling, would you be breaking any rules if you engaged a target in the process? This thought occured to me one time I was falling since I had the muzzle pointed at the target and ample time to put two shots into it before I hit the ground.
  5. FYI, Leupold have come to their senses and make a M1 knob in .1 Mil adjustments, instead of the .05 Mil.
  6. The 1 year warranty on the Horus scopes don't exactly inspire confidence in their products. Even the cheap Falcon Menace scope comes with a 5 year warranty.
  7. I used to shoot my HK P7M8. It is smaller than most BUG's, but can't be used as a BUG because it has a 4.125" barrel. Great shooting gun, but parts can be hard to find so I don't shoot it anymore.

Airsoft gun works great. I've had to use it to discipline my roommate's dog. That dog listens to me better than my roommate even when he's got the shock collar on her.
  9. http://www.fancast.com has a lot of shows.
  10. A lot of the scope manufacturer are going FFP and Mil/Mil. Premier's new scope is FFP, Mil/Mil. Nightforce just came out with a FFP and Mil/Mil. With FFP and Mil/Mil, if you spot your miss, you can easily dial in the correct amount without having to convert from Mil to MOA.
  11. The Falcon Menace 4-14x44 is probably the best bargin scope available in FFP AND MIL/MIL. The IOR 3-18 FFP scope can be troublesome to mount on some rifles. EGW makes an extend rail for Rem 700 that will allow you to get the scope BACK far enough for proper eye relief.
  12. Sometimes things happen for a reason. My gf was laid off last year in February. She's a drafter for civil engineering firm that does commercial developments. Turns out, they prematurely let her go. She wasn't suppose to go during the 2nd round of lay offs. She was laid off on Monday, by Friday, she had a new job with another firm that just got a huge contract to do canals here in the Sacramento flood plain. She's now the Cad Coordinator and getting paid about 25% more. Oh the other company is now down to a skeleton staff working 32 hours a week and they don't know how much longer they will last. Looking back, it was actually good that she got laid off because most drafters today can't find work.
  13. Next time sit high up in your seat and lower the visor. The ticket is suppose to go to the driver. If they can't identify the driver, you might be able to get off on it. The other option is to leave the front plate off. A ticket for not having a front plate is usually less than a speeding ticket.

  15. I hate the fat-assed lazy SOB that troll around slowly for 10 minutes just to get a spot next to the store. For gawd sakes, you could have parked in the spot on the other end of the parking lot and take less time to walk there.
  16. McMaster Carr can have them to you the next day if you are near one of their 5 warehouses.

My girlfriend's company just relocated to a new building. Another company shares the same floor. POS Portal. All I could think of is why would you name your company Piece of Sh!t Portal?
  18. Glock didn't pit for tires and lost 15 seconds on the last lap. He admitted he did everything he could just to keep the car on the track. I'm surprise the stewards didn't come up with something stupid to give Ferrari the win.

If it doesn't auto open, just go to My Computer and you should see your camera there in one of the drives. I use a card reader for my D200. It's much quicker than going through the camera.
  21. Unfortunately biodiesel uses up MORE diesel than they produce. The tractors need to run on something. The reason we don't see European diesel cars in the US is all do to politics. Idiot politicians that don't have engineering degrees think they know what is more effecient and environmentally friendly. Moller says the flying car is right around the corner. http://www.moller.com/ You should put in your deposit for one.

  23. Dillon redesigned the GE Mini-gun. That one looks like the GE model because Dillon's mini-gun has the controls on the gun.
