Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Jared,

I recently tried out a 2 port comp on 9mm STI open gun with an island barrel. DID not drill any poppel holes. I am getting significant muzzle flip that I don't believe can be dampened with drilled holes.

I would like to try a 3 port comp instead. When might you be building  some more. Shooters Connection is sold out. Do you know who might still have one?

  2. "Firearm magazines and ammunition clips must be securely boxed or included within a hard-sided case containing an unloaded firearm" This is the line concerning the mags. I think there is some confusion, they have to be 'boxed' or inside the locked gun case.
  3. Paul, It helps to promote real effort on classifers. Nobody wants to tank a stage at a serious match!
  4. Charles, I believe the intent is to generate Corporate interest, not to gin up team competitions among the shooters. Can you imagine if an outfit like Coke or Ford got involved and we could tap into their advertisement budgets? Speaking for myself, I think Jay is thinking outside the box, trying to broaden the sport's exposure.
  5. Greetings Shooters, The stages are built and the match is ready to go! Hats off to the Art Department, they did a fabulous job! Check out the detail when you get to the match, very impressive! A big Congrats to the stage designers and builders, good job This is going to be a challenging and fun match! However..... WARNING !!!! WARNING !!!! WARNING !!!! This being Florida, sweet mother nature has contributed to the experience The range recently received 18" of rain which has fortunately drained away but has filled the swamps and now we have Monster Mosquitoes. I swear I saw bugs large enough to require FAA tail fin numbers. Be bring repellant for the morning and evening feeding times. You do not want Smitty to use his intravenous injector on you I hear it is filled with Yuengling, which might not be so bad!!!
  6. Hey Charles, I'm shooting in my normal costume: Dazed and Confused Shooter! Stages are looking good and should be posted soon!
  7. Don't forget to plan extra rounds for a re-shoot! I had one on the Pet Cemetary stage the last match; that's 60 pieces of steel with a par time!!!!!
  8. I can't help but wonder if part of the challenge is to dope out an unknown weapon, sight it in and succesfully engage a target. In other words, do not expect the weapon to be accurate and do not expect it to function properly!
  9. Smitty, The building crew needs your prop construction plans for your stage! Rumor has it you saved the indestructable activator box from the Florida Open. Have you got an moving crew scheduled to transport that monstrosity to the range?
