Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I use what are called "occupational" lens. They have 3 sections, a bi-focal (near vision) on the bottom and the top, with distant vision in the middle. I just look through the top lens to see my front sights. The targets are blurred, but I should be looking there anyway. I had the near focus set at distance equal to where my sight would be. I had them tinted a pale yellow. If I need anything darker, I use clip-on sun lenses. TG
  2. I bought a 9mm Trojan from Dawson about 1 1/2 years ago. The slide-frame fit was so tight when it was new, I could only use light weight oil, not the gun grease I use on my Kimber Gold Combat II (a custom shop gun). I recommend going with Dawson. They offer what they call the "Enhanced Package". Dave Dawson does a trigger job (includes a Dawson sear spring), tunes the ejector, plus some other stuff I can't recall, and then zeros it at 25 yards. The trigger settled in at 2 3/4 lbs and the gun continues to run like a top.
  3. Hi, I just bought a Kimber Gold Combat II .45. It has a match grade barrel that is fitted to the slide, so there is no bushing. I assume I cannot shoot it in single stack, but is it legal for limted 10? Thanks, Tom
