Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I picked up my 1911 this afternoon so I'm good to go. I can't hardly wait!!!!!!
  2. This is slightly off topic in a way, but yet not really. I received the following e-mail. As you will see the 1927 Thompsons are on the list. If you are looking at participating in this sport and don't have your Tommy gun, you might want to think about getting it now. 3. 2-23-9 9:00pm central the history channel is running all sorts of ganster programs tonight.
  4. So at the inaugural match did there seem to be much time difference between the full auto's and the semi's?
  5. I am soooo stoked! I put a down payment on a 1911 yesterday. Ok, it's not quite PC since it's a copy of the GI Parkerized 1911 A1, but at least it's not a fully tricked out stainless steel race gun. I should have enough saved up to finish paying it off by May. Then I'm good to go!!!!!!
  6. There were also a lot of lever guns used in the '20's and 30's. That might be a way to draw some more CAS shooters...that is if you want the sport to grow fast.
  7. I'm into CAS and I have a Tommy and I've been considering getting a 1911 for wild bunch matches so this looks like a riot (pun intended). On the costuming side you mentioned gangsters, politicians, flappers and untouchables. I'm thinking "Farmboy" as in "CJ" In Bonnie and Clyde. Would that work as a starter costume? Where are you guys from?
