  1. I've seen similar behavior for several months. I can't remember when it started, but at least 2 rev's ago. Since the classifications show up in the PS export file (which is mailed to competitors and posted on our website), I don't think it's important to me. USPSA is the authority that determines classifications anyway, so there's no value in me telling USPSA what I think our competitor's Class is. Annoying, but hardly a show stopper.
  2. I set up a match on my iPad master running 1.5.10 (should be current). One stage was Six in Six CM 09-01, a fixed time stage. I didn't sync my two Nook touch devices (both running 1.1.11) until after registration and then handed them to squad leaders. My iPad worked fine, but the two Nooks did not have an active NPM column for the 09-01 stage. So the score keepers were unable to record misses as NPMs, and instead had to record misses in the Mike column. I synced everything to the iPad and then imported the match results into EZWin on a PC. In EZW, the mikes showed up properly as NPMs. BUT! if a competitor had nine mikes on that stage, the import process also recorded 9 late shots in their score. So two problems: 1) scorers were unable to record NPMs in the field, and 2) during importing into EZW, all misses were recorded as Late Shots. Is this nothing more than a Nook PS version problem? And how do I determine what the most recent version of PS is for my Nooks? Any advice or insight is appreciated, Bill
  3. Nevermind. I knew as soon as I asked for help I'd figure it out. Match->Disqualifications in EZWin is where that is set. I must have done this before, but don't remember it.
  4. I'm exporting out of PS (1.5.10) into EZWin (4.09). I can't get a DQ'd competitor to show up as DQ'd in EZwin. He is clearly displaying as DQ'd in PS. I saw an earlier post by wgnoyles that said "... then import registrations and finally the scores. Re-do the DQ's, and you're done ...". But I can't puzzle that out. EZWin won't allow me to edit the competitor's DQ field via Setup->Registration. Any help would be appreciated. -Bill
  5. I didn't realize until I got home after today's match that my shooter's USPSA numbers were missing. I am using a current masternames.db file. Club members' names were recognized and auto-inserted as I registered shooters today. In past, the USPSA numbers were being auto-inserted when I entered each shooter, but this time they didn't show up (although their division etc. was showing up). I guess I'll have to manually enter the USPSA numbers. Any suggestions how I can avoid this in the future? ~Bill
  6. Thanks for the good information everyone. Appreciate it.
  7. We used PractiScore this weekend for the first "real" time. This one I have to send in to USPSA. When I import (email) from PS into EZWin via the Match::Handheld menu, I'm not getting shooter class. In fact, I can't find that column name or column data field in the reg.txt export out of PS. Do I, or more importantly does USPSA, care? Just seems odd to look in EZW and see all those "U" shooters. Thanks - Bill
  8. CellGuy - you write "we manually removed the throw out run" - If a stage has five strings, then are you simply zeroing out the slowest string? and " I scan through all the shooters to make sure they all have throw aways before i post the scores" - I'm trying to find a fast way to do that without visiting each shooter on each stage. I don't see a way to view all the shooters' strings' times on all teh stages (or even on one stage) in a single view. Is there a way to do that? This has been very helpful - at last I can make an argument that Steel match fees help pay for the PS equipment - Thanks! Bill
