  3. If you want to stick with Clays and shoot Production then I would recommend you switching to 200 grain bullets. I was driving my M&P at about 130 PF with Clays and Zero and/or MG 200 grain bullets. I've also used VV N-320 and Bullseye powder, and both have worked fine with the heavier bullet as well.
  4. I buy all my M&P parts from them. Great people to work with.
  5. I've cut mine down to fit my 4.25" gun with no issues. I didn't like the extra overhang as it was digging into my leg as well.
  6. I switched to Bayou from MG and Zero, and have been very satisfied with their product. Customer service is exceptional. Donny is great to work with.
  7. I use a kydex IWB holster made by Paul at PJ Holster LLC (www.pjholster.com). They offer various cants and ways to attach to your belt. A review of the holster can be found .
  8. Hearing that WST is an inverse temperature sensitive powder, I wanted to see how much it drives the power factor (PF) when the ambient temperature varies. I fired two strings (controlled at two different temperatures) through a chronograph to determine the spread. Below is the result: TEST LOAD: Rainer 180 grain RNFP bullet WST Powder @ 4.5 grains Federal small pistol primer Mixed range brass (no nickel) roll sized OAL 1.142 Loaded on Dillon Precision Super 1050 press Test fired through S&W M&P 40 Pro 5” KKM barrel CED M2 Chronograph from a distance of 12’ in the shade under IR screens STRING ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: String 1: 82 degrees F (true ambient temperature); 30% relative humidity; approximately 5500’ elevation String 2: 56 degrees F (controlled temperature); 30% relative humidity; approximately 5500’ elevation RESULTS: String 1 @ 82 degrees F Average: 893.2 FPS SD: 9.0 PF: 160.8 String 2 @ 56 degrees F Average: 911.3 FPS SD: 6.0 PF: 164.0 ASSUMPTION: Results support statement that WST is an inverse temperature sensitive powder. Based on performance results at two known (control) temperatures, we can extrapolate the expected PF yield at any given temperature range, but keep in mind this is at an elevation of 5500’ where the air is thinner (approximately 0.0608 lbm/ft3) than at sea level (0.0745 lbm/ft3) with the same relative humidity level. Air density will affect your FPS, and ultimately, your PF. The chart below is based on 30% relative humidity at 5500 ‘. Degrees PF 105 157.97 104 158.09 103 158.22 102 158.34 101 158.46 100 158.59 99 158.71 98 158.83 97 158.96 96 159.08 95 159.20 94 159.32 93 159.45 92 159.57 91 159.69 90 159.82 89 159.94 88 160.06 87 160.19 86 160.31 85 160.43 84 160.55 83 160.68 82 160.80 Actual reading 81 160.92 80 161.05 79 161.17 78 161.29 77 161.42 76 161.54 75 161.66 74 161.78 73 161.91 72 162.03 71 162.15 70 162.28 69 162.40 68 162.52 67 162.65 66 162.77 65 162.89 64 163.01 63 163.14 62 163.26 61 163.38 60 163.51 59 163.63 58 163.75 57 163.88 56 164.00 Actual reading 55 164.12 54 164.24 53 164.37 52 164.49 51 164.61 50 164.74 49 164.86 48 164.98 47 165.11 46 165.23 45 165.35 44 165.47 43 165.60 42 165.72 41 165.84 40 165.97 39 166.09 38 166.21 37 166.34 36 166.46 35 166.58 34 166.70 33 166.83 32 166.95 31 167.07 30 167.20 29 167.32 28 167.44 27 167.56 26 167.69 25 167.81 24 167.93 23 168.06 22 168.18 21 168.30 20 168.43
  9. No issues through Glock barrels. I use them both in 9mm and 40 SW. There may be a slight wait for them but the price is decent and the customer service superb.
  10. I've had mine installed for over a year now with no FTE issues. Easy to install and Apex has an installation video on their website which is helpful if it will be your first time removing your M&P extractor. If you're going to install it in a .40 then there's a slight modification suggested. That point is discussed in the installation video.
  11. Check Speed Shooter Specialties. www.speedshooterspecialties.com They have a couple to choose from.
  12. Production & some Limited For my Production M&P 9 Pro, I have installed: - Dawson Precision adjustable rear and FO front - Apex Tactical RAM - Apex Tactical competition enhancement kit (sear, striker block kit, reduced power springs) - Apex Tactical M&P faiure resistant extractor - Replaced sear housing block with newer S&W factory part that has larger 1/8" sear spring & plunger (the smaller spring & plunger caused sear flutter issues) - Speed Shooter Specialties non-captured tungsten guide rod (for 5" model) with 11 pound ISMI recoil spring - Replaced full size magazine base pads with factory compact, flat base pads - Dawson Precision grip tape For my Limited M&P 40 Pro, I have installed: - Dawson Precision adjustable rear and FO front - Apex Tactical Foward Set Sear and Trigger Kit (sear, trigger, trigger block, competition spring kit) - Apex Tactical M&P failure resistant extractor - Replaced sear housing block with newer S&W factory part that has larger 1/8" sear spring & plunger (the smaller spring & plunger caused sear flutter issues) - Speed Shooter Specialties non-captured tungsten guide rod (for 5" model) with 11 pound ISMI recoil spring (less 2 coils) - Dawson Precision grip tape - Speed Shooter Specialties aluminum magwell - Taylor Freelance brass 140mm M&P floor plate and extended ISMI magazine spring - Trimmed factory followers down to allow extended magazines to accomodate 20 rounds
  13. What division do you plan to shoot, Production, Limited, Open?
  14. I've had zero issues with magazines failing to fall free due to the plug.
  15. Per current USPSA rules, it is legal as long as it does not alter grip profile or extend past the bottom of the grip. The Scherer plug is legal for Production. I have one in my G34.
  16. The website is up and running.
  17. Saul Kirsch said the site was hacked by some malicious bot. They should have it back up and running in a day or two.
  18. Got the same surprise when I went there today. I sent Double Alpha Academy an email to see what's going on.
  19. Bulged brass will need to be resized before you use them again, but I've used my Glock brass over and over without any issues. I've not really kept count how many times I've reloaded them, but I do give them a once-over right before they get sprayed with One Shot case lube. Also, those that are "too bulged" to resize either through my Gizmo or CasePro are tossed.
  20. Remove from left to right and install right to left. This is looking from the back of the slide as if you were sighting the pistol.
  21. Hello, there. There's lots of information available about your requested topic in this forum that can be found by using the search function. It's a great tool. A search for 165+titegroup under 10mm/40 Caliber in General Reloading yielded over 165 matches. Some of these will speak to the minor loads you are looking for. Good luck, and happy reloading.
  22. Just emailed you a copy. And for others who may need directions as well, I've attached a copy here. Club Timer III Instructions.pdf
  23. There really isn't a need to remove the firing pin channel liner, even for thorough cleaning purposes, but if you still have the desire to, I recommend the channel liner tool for Glock by Rimfire Gunworks. It is used for both removal and installation of the liner without causing slide damage. If you do remove the liner, I recommend replacing it with a new one as it is considered a disposable item. This tool can be purchased at Brownells for about $27 and the liner runs about $5. I have a few Glocks and only had to remove the liner once from my G24 because I had the slide hard chromed. Other than that, I just used a cotton swab to clean the channel out and followed up with a burst of compressed air to remove any residual debris that may have been left behind.
  24. And free shipping from Powder Valley if ordered today. Hazmat fee still applies.
