For 9mm brass
I line the bottom of a large tray with blazer ammo 45 acp trays, they’re white with large square holes that I dumpster dive out of the trash can. I then dump brass in the tray and rock it, 80-90% fall in and most of those land case head down
It make its easy to separate out 380 and 40
I check for damaged, cracked case mouths and stepped brass, I then flip them over into an empty tray and check for crimped primers, it take me around 10-15 minutes to check a couple thousand cases

I remember a story I was told years ago of a shooter was clearing a 45 in the trunk of his car and did the rack the round out, then remove the magazine and put a hole in floor of the trunk.

Got it figured out
thank you

How do you sync a Pocket Pro Bt timer to practiscore to record the times?
Can you do it with the free app or do I have to purchase one of the pay versionsIf possible could you explain in way that someone has lost a few brain cells due to being around loud guns for too many years
thanks

I have both, I took my old slide rides and put them on my PCC’s
the Romero 3max is on the open gun. The old slide rides were great 30 years ago when they came out, but they have lousy battery life and are bulky for a handgun optic.
the Romero 3max has a big window, bright dot and long battery life, plus because they are smaller you no longer have to tune the extractor and ejector to eject the brass sideways to clear the optic

I did it with 2 pliers
1 holding the black plastic thingie
1 holding the aluminum tube right below it
twist in opposite direction until it broke loose and rotated a few time until the aluminum tube came out, I think I might have used a drill to clean up the inside of the plastic housing

Another happy vibra prime user, I also modified it to take the Dillon primer tubes and my experience mirrors 4n2t0.

Back when titanium hammers were a thing, I ran a stock colt firing pin spring to prevent light strikes
one thing I would check, with the slide off, hammer down, does the hammer rest firmly against the frame or does it flop back and forth. If it flops repeat with the slide on, is it hard against the slide stop or can you wiggle it with your fingernail
if you can wiggle it, your hammer strut maybe too short

I ordered one, can’t wait to try it out

Years ago I read somewhere not to use federal primers in the 650 because they are softer
i picked up my 650 around 1995 and since then I’ve popped 1 primer in it
its a good idea to clean the primer tube every so often, I also spray silicone spray on the primer disk and primer feed assembly and let it dry to clean and wash away any gunk or residue

Most competition belts are very stiff and do not roll up that tight, if space is a premium I would look at the links belt
One thing to check, how well does your current rig fit in the saddle bags
if you got room to spare a regular comp belt might be the way, if not look at the links belt

About 20 years ago one of my buddies at a match used some kind of chalk on his hands and he had a slight running nose, and he’d use his hand to wipe it away
which left a lot of white chalk residue below his nose and he looked just like the 90’s cop movie bad guy on a coke bender, everyone that came up to him WTH expression on their faces

I did the same with a Oehler 35 and a PACT with the screens setup in line, and they were consistently with a few feet per second of each other
-
One thing to remember is when doing load development is, you might make PF on your chrono at home but will it make on whatever chrono the match use's
I’ve seen guys not make major or go subminor at the chrono station, one of my buddies chronoed at 125.something at the national

Different powders have different burn rates
if you have the ability buy 1 pound cans of the powders mentioned, do load development for each powder then go to the range and run back to back drills to see which one that works best for you and your open gun set up
I like HS6 with silhouette a close 2nd
I tried WAC and AA7 and didn’t care for them
-
Oops
I got limited optics on the mind, please disregard
-
What I would do
put a magwell and dot on a sig you already own and go shoot some matches
then if you really enjoy it, look to upgrade you equipment

Shred
if anyone does come with an auto loader for the shockbottle pleases post a link

I have a cmc and a jp triggers in my PCCs, and they do get crudded up
When I clean them, I separate the lower, hold it over a bucket and blast the trigger group with ether CRC or Napa brand silicon spray and let it dry and relube
the carrier on those is acetone which strips away the crud and leaves a silicon film on the parts
I did send my cmc in for repair due to a broken spring, they fixed it and sent it back fairly quickly
also make sure you wear nitrile gloves, those chemicals are not good for you

Not that I'm arguing for major/minor in other divisions, but practical pcc's (with real barrels, not the gamer 5" shrouded barrels) should easily and safely make major pf with anything close to a real 9mm factory defensive load.
The winchester ranger 9mm that my agency carries makes 177pf out of my cz scorpion.
My mousefart minor production ammo almost makes major out of my PCCs, 158 pf
but then We’d run into the whole 40 caliber minimum for major rule, I bet if they allow 9major in LO
all of a sudden they’d be a new poll up

I have a Romero 3max and it’s been flawless, I also just recently got a holosun 507 comp and between the 2 I’m liking the 507 more
they both have large windows, shake awake, and stupid long battery life
the advantage of the 507 is the ability to stack the various reticles, it’s a lot cheaper, and has a much more common RMR footprint
-
That was my feeling as well, allow both and let us figure out which is best
but not enough of us voted for it

Not bad, only 3 days short of 20 years from the previous response

9MM brass that was loaded for Major PF
in 9mm/38 Caliber

The only issue I’ve run into with 9 major brass is the case rim will widen to the point it won’t case gauge, those end up in the practice bin
