    Have used his followers & like them. Use only ISMI springs, only 19 rds but dead on reliable for over a year.

    I myself, all the shooters from S. texas, taren buttler, jerry michelick, kurt miller, & several other top shooters all use beta mags. I hope most of my competion does reloads on the high rd., close quarter hose fests. Just my 2 cents worth.

    probley made in the early 90's. same as the new ones except you don't have to modify the bolt for loading one on the carrier.

    The only thing that matters is field of view & focus. What are they on this scope.

    My rule is to get a good sight picture fairly fast & break a clean shot. If you don't hit, it is'nt going to get a lot better, cut your losses & move on. This is for ranges beyond 250 yds.

    Stay away from the 1-7 twists . The 1-9's shoot good.

    Can you say SAN ANGELO scoreing?. USPSA can adopt this right away for scoreing. IT WORKS with the guns & power factor we have now. Down load it, dist. it to all clubs. Done . You have to try it to see how simple it is.

    In 9x23 try a 125 gr. bullet & about 11 gr. of Accurate # 7. Has lower pressure than the V V powders. Work up to about 12 grs. in a ramped barrel.

    Patrick is right. I zero 3-4" high at 50 . I can hold center target from point blank out to 100 yds.

    Listen to the gorilla. That is the sight I use & install on the custom shotguns that leave the shop.

    What is a mech-tech & no body that is trying to win a match that is serious about shooting is going to try & hit 300 yd. steel with one anyway. Have never seen one in a match so it probley is not going to be a issue anyway at a state match in scoreing.

    223 hole is minor, anything else is major unless he is declareing minor in pistol.

    If you're going to shoot hot loads, try a slower power. Won't have all the pressure but will have the speed you're looking for.Also it will burn in the comp & shoot flatter.
