    Less recoil so better accuracy for most shooters.

    I use 8 or 9 on the side saddle only, don't want to slow down the cycleing .

    I have built several on the caspian race ready frame w/ schumman bushing barrels for IDPA shooters with McCormick mags & all run perfect. It is in how you fit the barrel from the start.

    Dr. I will need to put a standard recoil spring in & lighten the bolt. I don't recomend useing anything lighter than 3 dr./ 1 1/8 oz. loads. It will run w/ this & reduced recoil slugs. Anything less won't take down steel with edge hits reliably.

    The barrel should lock up about .045. The bottom lugs may need to be cut if everything fits & locks up right.

    Guy, they slow down the closeing & stripping of rds & chambering. Stay with the standard one w/ lightened bolt for the best resultes

    Check the flat middle leg & make sure the strut is not hitting it under full cocking.

    Kelly, I use the ultramax w/ nosler 55 blistic tip because the group about 1 1/2 in. @ 300, but most of all they sponser me with all I can shoot.

    Anything past 100 yds gets nosler 55gr blistic tip loaded by Ultramax ammo.

    If you have a little movement, turn it up & down. If not I shoot it all on 1.5

    The zero in the turrets are not very good. But once it is set it is ok. don't expect to walk it around.

    Trigger take-up is the amount it travels before contacting sear. It is adjusted with the tab on the front of the trigger bow.

    Every time you move your feet, reload as many as you shot till you get to the end & then run it dry.

    Layson, cannot change the scope once you start. you can change the power if it starts & stays on the scope but cannot add or substract once match starts.

    It does'nt matter if pressures are held to factory spec's. Either will work fine if fitted good.

    Try cutting off the top 1/2 of the large peep & use it like a rear pistil sight. You can see everything & shoot fast & accurate.

    I think the barrel is to short to try to burn all the powder that you will need in a larger case to make major. Slower powder in the larger cases need more barrel.

    Since no one shoots a combat match w/o the gun to his shoulder, tightly, it really still does'nt matter.

    Get a scope with a big field of view & toss the iron sights.

    On the strong side safty where the detent is, file the safty at about a 30 degree angel towards the outside. this will keep the safty from comming out.
