  1. .40 1st shot & .20 splits. Even your old benelli will do that, but you, UUUMMMMMM
  2. heavy slide is softer & slower, light slide is faster & snappier. What ever floats your boat. My boat is light & fast.
  3. I alway's tell them to hold for my wife, lay it down & go watch T-V.
  4. KurtB, the trap stock is to high, you will need a 21" V.R. barrel w/ rem chokes, a 9 rd ext & a 8rd side saddle. Get a used field stock cheap & switch them so as not to shoot over everything.
  5. In 45 acp about a 12/13 oz. slide is about right.
  6. Put in a tool steel pin & peen it on both sides, bullet proff.
  7. Ever seen the top strap & cylinder gone from a colt single action where they were useing a very lite charge of powder in cowboy shooting w/o a filler. Ka-Boom.
  8. Alma, never shoot a shotgun dry, it takes way to much time to reload.
  9. It was a low powder charge that did it. Almost cannot get a double in a super case w/o spilling over but a low charge is easy enough. The powder did not burn down the barrel but all at once & ka-boom. Have seen over charged cases fired & bulged barrels. This is instant detnation.
  10. Big dave get rid of the dot & get a 1x5 scope & your hits will be easier to call & see.
  11. And damn it was a great & testing match. will be back on 8-5-05 for the next one.
  12. Trust me, max is not shooting a factory tru-bore.
  13. Shooter girl, glad you're OK. Have seen about 8 of these type blow ups. Have one lying on my desk a customer sent in. What happens is about a 1/2 powder charge gets in & lays in the bottom of the case & when the primer goes off , it flashes across all the powder & detnates it all at once instead of burning from the rear down the barrel . KABOOM. very nasty.
  14. They need work to be able to keep up to the light custom guns, lighter slide, better safty's, better trigger, etc.
  15. Guessing from where the cracks are, it may be that you were running to light a recoil spring & the slide was hitting the frame to hard. Just a guess.
  16. NOPE, at the factory they use a large vise w/ smooth jaws the same as I do.
  17. Will be at the ft. benning match, cannot pass up a chance to shoot FULL AUTO toys & maybe win some side money.
  18. Use a good grade os S.S., form a right & a left on the mandrell, cut each side on a mill, weld both sides, diamond brade iner & outer seams, set the lips, cut the botton lips for the base plate & squeeze them in a vise untill in spec's. Nothing to it but about $100,000.00 in parts & equipment.
  19. They are made in-house & the orginal set was very expensive. None for sale.
  20. Just trying to make sure they don't change the rules before we get there.
  21. By the time you put a good trigger & a good muzzle brake, 2-pc alium. handguard so as not move point of impact at long range you can buy a nice custome one for a few $$$ more.
