Do not use a com. slide, just cut .500 off a 5" slide. You will have the long stroke you want w/ the short gun feel.

Just put a new barrel in it , grip it & rip it.

In texas our perfect double's alway's count 5 points.

My jp trigger break's at 3 lb. 2 oz. everytime. I think it would take a while for me to get used to 3 1/2 first pull & 2# after that.

Top lug's should not round off if they were fitted right.

The ones I sell are 8 rd. flush w/18 1/2" barrel & 9 rd. 1" past 22" barrel.

3 dr. 1 1/8 oz. 7.5 shot in a trap load. 3 1/4- 1 1/4 #6 for med. range steel & texas stars, #4 tact. buck for long steel.

8" is perfect. get's the last shells out fast while still being easy enough to load.

If the slide stop is locking up right, cut 3/32 on the bottom lug's back toward the chamber, this will allow the slide to go foward the correct amount.

I bead blast it off, then put gun coat bake on finish.

Eric, I thought you knew that you almost cannot compete with any shotgun unless you have grip tape on it.

No point of empact change from 1.5x5. I have done well w/ it at hoser stages & long range.

Most of the dpms barrel's I use shoot under 1" w/ good ammo. They also support the sport.

I think after this topic on so many rules that no one can keep up with them, I see why there are other 3-gun matches that draw many more shooters than a uspsa match will. We need to make sure the 3 gun's are legal in class, wear what the hell we want, were we want & the best man win's.

OH!! for the old day's, the 90's, when all you had to do was make sure the 3 guns were legal, wear what the hell you wanted, where you wanted, & the best man win's. Life was simple & matches more fun.

What you need, a large field of view, about 80 ft. @ 100 yds., Bright glass, focus at 3 ft. or 300 yds, & light weight @ 10 oz.,& shock proff. The only scope that meet's all of the above is the simmon's shotgun scope. 1.5 x 5. No paralex.

The rule book is like the liberal's in washington, they think that they have to tell you how to do everything & that no one is capable of doing anything on their own. When you go to a pistol stage w/ the proper equipment, wear it where the hell you want, the same for the other gun's as well so long as the equipment is the same. Different battle's { stages} require wearing different equipment at different places so long is is legal for your class. We need a lot less rules & a lot more common sense.
