    If ark. has a lot of paper, w/ hardcover & tight shots, the 308 can do well on scoreing. If it is all open targrts, then it is a little slow but not much. I shoot it at about the same speed as my ar, but is slower to load even though I have 30 rd. mags,

    My ar-10 is set up w/ my comp, jp trigger, 1.5x5 scope , will shoot sub 1" & only weights 9 1/2 lbs. will use it more next year & will use it in oct. at the ark. state 3-gun.

    Dean, just take your shoes off & count rds. on your fingers, when you get to the first toe, you have one to many in it.

    Major 9 will not shoot as flat as a 38 super, everything else equal because you burn more powder in the comp w/ 38 super.

    Not the 32mm one, the 20mm one is the one you want.

    Slight hestation on each popper, 1st shot in the .6's with the next 4 poppers at about .18/.20 splits.

    Butt on belt, poppers about 12 yds., 4 ft. apart.

    When you get to 5 poppers in about 1.6 sec. you will be just about right.

    Cost does'nt matter, only the field of view & close focus. It just happen's the simmon's has both over the other ones.

    Forget about fast splits. Anything around .18 to .25 will win most matches if you do everything else right. Two A's at .25 is better than a .15 split w/ an A & D hit.

    If you go w/ a 130 match bullet, you can make major w/o undue pressure plus better down range balistic's

    If your gun won't run everything, you have a problem that needs to be solved.

    Zak, try loading the rds. at about 1.180 w/ 4.7 of tightgroup w/ 180 bullet w/ .418 crimp. If your barrel timeing is correct, you should not get primer flow.

    It does'nt really matter, by the end of the match it will look like a hand gernade was thrown in it.

    Listen to john, you don't want the gun to unlock to soon, real problems there. Keep the slide about 10/11 oz.

    It is probley not the load but rather the weight of the slide & comp holding you back.

    Rhino, my rule on this is to turn my power up or down untill I can see at least 2 targets at a time so as to know where to index to next.

    Just slow your splits down to around .50-.60 like mine . Problem solved.

    With a little effort & $$$, you can have a great gun. Use a 3-gun gear side saddle.
