  1. I have not built a gun in years where the slide stop or grip safty was'nt disabled.
  2. Replace the wolf mag springs with IMSI springs & it will run. Your springs have taken a quick set & need to be replaced. If it will not feed ALL ammo then send it back to dave & tell him to return it asap.
  3. Cottyw, for 20/30 yd. steel shots, I simply use either 3dr./ 1 1/4 oz/ #6 or #4 tact. buck. You may have close targets on the stage & the Imp. mod. will slow you down on fast steel.
  4. With the 50 yd. zero, you hold on out to 250 & top of plate at 300. Simple.
  5. My avg. 6" weight's the same as a light 5" or about 37 oz. The 6" slide weights the same as a 5" slide, about 11/12 oz. The recoil impulse is less I think than a 5" because the powder charge is about 10% less. I'm no rocket scientist , just a simple gunsmith. I don't explain them, just know what works them.
  6. I use I.C. for 90% of my shooting but will change when needed for stages.
  7. I have a 40, 38 super, & a 9mm top end for my fat free 6" & hands down the 9mm is softer.
  8. Sorry carlos, I just thought maybe I was behind times.
  9. You got 40's to work with a 45 breachface? There's .070 th gap there.
  10. Take .020 off of front sight & walla, it's right on at 15 yds.
  11. Thats a smaller receiver & won't inter-change.
  12. The rem. LT has a amaller receiver than the rem comp. master.
  13. The wing out lets you recover from recoil & back on target faster but the wing down is steadier. Which ever way is the fastest. For me it's the wing out for faster follow up shots & transtitions.
  14. My comp on my ar has lasted 12,000 or better w/o much wear. Made of a good grade of s.s.
  15. SIGHTS, don't need no stinking sights on a shotgun, mine are only on it for looks.
  16. Most sti & svi mags won't be reliable w/ anything much longer than 1.250. This is what the factory recomends. I loan my super at 1.245 for everything & never had problems for about 14 years.
  17. About 11 oz. on a limited is just about right, depending on a few factors.
  18. If you are getting 15' ejection, your gun is getting the s**t beat out of it. Get a stronger recoil spring.
  19. When you run a lite slide, you usually run a lite recoil spring also. This will not hold the slide in battery long enough. The gun is recoil orp. Light stuff will not stay in battery as long as heavy stuff. The slide will still have pressure against it & when unlocking will roll the top lugs.
  20. Tear drop marks on the primer means the slide is unlocking to fast and/or weak f.p. spring. Fitting of the barrel can effect this also.
