  1. Thanks; i just found-out that the one from SP01 can be fitted.
  2. Does anyone have a cheaper solution/option on getting a thinner profile (for Production Div)? Even reto-fitting or filing a safety from a different model might be worth-it. Thanks in advance.
  3. I was having the same issue with my shadow; but when i started using flat point/TC, the problem went away. Good luck.
  4. I also have the DK trigger; i initially didn't like it--it made my trigger a little heavier. After making some adjustments on the pre-travel & over-travel, it made me realized that it's a great trigger. Good luck!
  5. I'll send you a message of what i'm looking for. Tnx.
  6. Who else carries stock springs aside from Speed Shooter Specialties? Thanks.
  7. What's the weight of the SS guide rod? Tnx.
  8. The length of the XDM is great; and you'd definitely appreciate it more if it's coming from CC--the trigger is excellent! M&P pro can also be an equivalent, especially if it will have a trigger-job done by Dan Burwell or a good gunsmith. Good luck!
  9. I've tried this, using a rod (zinc) that i purchased from home depot; but it only added .8oz on the weight. I think i'll also try lead.
  10. Yes, the rule book should be able to guide you where you can apply it.
  11. I purchased a pro on this forum; and it came with apex kit. But I still ended-up asking dan to do a trigger job on my gun. I know it's just my preference; but i'd really rather shoot the set-up that i want. Try them both, if you can; it will make it easier for you to decide. Good luck!
  12. I used to tumble my reload; but now, i just wipe it off--it still works and never caused any problem.
  13. That's a great set-up. Later on, you can decide if you would need a more aggressive grip; but enjoy what you have first.
  14. Good idea--i've installed an srt on my p226, along with the smaller trigger; there are definitely some good info/video on youtube to guide you. Good luck!
  15. I decided I didn't want to pay an additional $300 + shipping either. I'm going to install an SRT kit myself. One would think these would be standard on the X5 Allround. But for me the fact that it's not isn't a deal breaker. My main reason for buying the gun was the longer sight radius and the heavier weight. If I can get the trigger on my X5 to be as good as my 226 Elite I'll be happy with that. Anything better than that will just be a plus.
  16. Luckily, the spring is cheap enough for me to try it myself--i'll post an update if i feel any difference on mine. Tnx!
  17. That approach could cause you to end up with coil bind.Like I mentioned above with two coils removed the difference in pull weight was not enough to even measure.
  18. Yes, start with 17# hammer spring; you might end-up saving a few bucks, if you like the result.
  19. Yes, I have been using Wolff hammer springs, but I am currently using the Gray Guns spring. Feels pretty much the same. I've had zero problems with the Wolff though. Thanks again! I'm going to order a few hammer springs right now. Thanks to the OP for allowing me to briefly hijack his post. We now return you to your regular programming.
  20. I think i'll try it; great idea on the the shim. Tnx.
  21. I think they use a different primer on their new ammo; but i use federal primer myself, so i'm not that much worried about light hits. I'm actually about to cut a coil off on my 17# spring, to see if the trigger pull will be lighter.
  22. I used to have the same issue with my shadow; and i resolved it by adjusting the crimp on my reload--it was initially too tight. Good luck!
  23. I've seen their reloads; the primer has a brass color. Great company/pricing though, including on the new ammo. Tnx.
  24. I've just switched from 13# wolff to 12#; and I like it, so far. I use 147grn for production.
