  1. I ran into this very same issue this weekend using an ipad master, 1.667. The android slave device were able to successfully update the classifications though.
  2. I once borrowed a friend's open gun with an SV safety. I broke it within 100rds. Another local friend has broken several SVV thumb safeties.
  3. have to buy new mags and trying to talk myself into a new gun.... I have a really nice 9mm 1911 about to go on the sales block.....just sayin'
  4. The hammer absolutely reduces reset distance. Shorter hammer hooks = shorter reset (given properly adjusted pre and post travel) True, but the hook depth on the OEM heart hammer and the Titan hammer is negligible. Ergo, no appreciable difference. At least not in the handful I've worked on.
  5. The hammer doesn't change the reset. The 1-piece sear is the biggest difference maker. If you know some one who knows how to tune them, it can be made 1911 short. The disco doesn't shorten the reset, only the pre travel after the reset point.
  6. I've been shooting SS minor all season. I doubt I'll go back to major. 9mm 1911s are just too much fun. The only time I'd want major is for classifiers, but if my math is right, I won't even care about those anymore after the next update.
  7. Tripps 9 mags are nice, but not perfect. They run really well in terms of feeding and whatnot, but On many guns, the lack of a wall on the front of the mag allows the top round to be dragged forward as the gun cycles, which then causes the mag not to drop free. They'll also allow the top round to pop out when they hit the deck.
  8. Cut 2 coils off the springs in the ETM. Then they'll seat easily, and still have plenty of strength to feed and lock the slide back. It'll also correct the feeding issue caused by the mags being entirely over sprung.
  9. Something to keep in mind is that the 9mms tend to be heavier and you may need to swap some parts to get it to make weight.
  10. Everything is proceeding as I have forseen. lulz http://www.uspsa.org/uspsa-display-match-results-detail.php?indx=13860&division=Single%20Stack&guntype=Pistol but statistics are dumb.
  11. This. All xtremed up. Except the FP, because the Henning pin works better than the xtreme pin.
  12. http://www.zrtacticalsolutions.com/ This guy is a whiz on a CNC mill and is in noblesville, just north of Indianapolis
  13. For the record, the ft. Wayne team has some of the best club match stages I've ever seen. Interesting mix of shot difficulties with options! Definitely not a boring 8-8-8-8 kind of match. Well worth the 2 hour drive for me.

It was good shooting with you! It was not good for me to see an open gun that runs, though. That looks like more fun than should be legal.
  15. Why not elect someone who promises to change it? Your membership dues entitle you to a say, however minor and insignificant. But i suppose when they say one thing and then do a another self-dealing thing with no practical mechanism for removal, whachya gonna do? Volunteer to do scores! because that will change the incompetence and/or corruption at HQ. Running that practiscore report really keeps those guys in WA in line.
  16. My stock 2 came with a 2-piece in it. Is there somewhere stateside i could get a 1-piece that preserves the firing pin block functionality?
  17. I've been trying to figure out what is different or special about his LSPA block that keeps getting mentioned. Despite all the mentions, I haven't seen anything explaining how this LSPA block is different from the stock parts. Google pointed me to this thread, and would like to bump the OPs question about it.
  18. What specifically makes you think the organization is corrupt? Having a section coordinator and former bod member thank the cheater for rendering a bunch of major matches meaningless isn't proof that the whole organization is corrupt, but it's certainly not confidence inspiring either.
  19. I agree 100%There was nothing honorable about his weak apology. "Shortcoming" does not come close to equaling overt cheating. I'd be embarrassed to be associated with the guy, and I surely wouldn't try to go to bat for him by posting supportive statements. +1I certainly would not shoot any matches run by people that publicly support a blatant cheater either. To me, willfully turning a blind eye to overwhelming evidence of cheating indicates a serious ethical shortcoming If you're willing to support the guy after everyone knows he's a cheater, you'll probably support (or have supported) him while he cheats as well.
  20. Seeing the last split is part of verifying the time. If hendrix were a smart cheater, he'd have just given the timer a little tap after a few seconds had gone by, or held it somewhat close to the gun at ULSC to get the slide snapping shut to register a time, to screw the people he didn't like, and could then say "I just read the timer!" with plausible deniability.
