  1. All, I'm breaking in my new Vortex Spitfire. Is there any recommendation on a zero target for this type of optic (3 MOA dot) at 200 yards? Thanks! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
  2. I got my hands on a 1 MOA Eotech to swap out for my 4MOA Aimpoint. I packed my gear for a range trip tomorrow. That was the best I could do on a 16 hour workday.
  3. There were burpee penalties imposed if an RO forgot to return the ammo can to the start line. All in all, we logged over 54 miles over the three days. We had a ball and it was our pleasure to give back to the shooting community that's been so good to us.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
  4. My MOA M3000 will not cycle reliably on anything less than 3 dram, 1 1/8 oz, 1250 fps for birdshot. I use the Federal/Walmart bulk pack for practice, and get about 5% failure with it. After some Federal Top Gun failures I'm only going to run AAs at the above specs. They have never hiccuped for me. For slugs, it runs Speed Lawman at 1 oz/1200 fps all day long. It runs Lawman buck at 1145 fps without issue also. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
  5. This was a great match. The stages were challenging, the administration of the match was well executed, and the shooters were a great crowd to shoot with. I look forward to next year! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
  6. As my squad's token amateur, it was very new - guy friendly, and helped avoid the gotcha/DQ factor. That said, some select load or candy - cane loads would be fun but very challenging for some of us.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
  7. Funny how we learn so quickly. Our squad started on 7 and acquired a LOT of slug misses. After seeing the damage a slug miss does to your score we all reduced the % of misses when we shot 14. I have vowed never to shoot IPSC shotgun again but if I forget and sign up next time pan am comes to town. Remind me how costly slug misses are please. This was also where I learned the value of having my front sight secured by more than a single screw. 10 rounds in and it was 30 degrees left. Now to figure out how to pin it or something. When scoring occurred I thought my name was "Mike"! I so should have slowed down and aimed carefully down the rib...Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk Mike Cyrwus at Accurate Iron Does it on every one of his race gun packages. Thanks, and thanks again for all the help. I'm still digesting lessons learned because there was so much takeaway for me from this match. I'll give Accurate Iron a call. I have a pretty tight timeline for turnaround between matches until after Blue Ridge so I might have to wait until October for a permanent fix. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk

  9. Good question! My Benelli M2 with a 12 round Nordic tube didn't fit the box last time. I had the mid size butt pad and needed the small one to fit. Since I didn't have it with me I had to use an 11rd tube.I would bet money that a 12rd Stoeger won't make it because that stick is so long. Heck an 11rd M3000 might not fit either. Well my 10 round Stoeger should be good to go, then. Considering this is my first shotgun - only match, it's already been a bit of a learning experience.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
  10. Today I watched some 2014 FNH match video, researched my next shotshell caddies (Invictus) and had a solid workout. Dryfire session to follow shortly. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
  11. I reviewed match video from a club match on Saturday (where I got my clock cleaned) and watched some video from the Nordic Components match. I also talked with a trainer about some agility and foot - speed drills Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
  12. Hit the gym with Taran Butler (ok, his 3Gun Show interview) and made a quick range trip. In the pouring rain, I got on a whopping 30 rounds of rifle at 100 and 200M, and 75 rounds of shotgun. Shotgun was function - testing some Rio, Federal, and AAs on shoot/load drills. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
  13. Shenandoah national park and Skyline Drive should be starting to get some great colors (leaves). Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
  14. Solid strength and conditioning workout this morning while listening to the 3 Gun Show podcast. Pool workout this evening for cardio. Ordered parts for new competition rifle build. Packed guns/gear for range session in the morning.
  15. Zeroed rifle at 50 and confirmed at 200, did additional slow fire fundamentals focus work. Zeroed pistol at 50 and did 7M speed drills.
  16. I hit the gym listening to The 3-gun Show podcast. I worked to fund the habit. At lunch I read the new Front Sight magazine and evaluated the USPSA presidential candidates by who gave a crap about multigun.
  17. MarkCO, I'm curious out of your variety, what are your favorite triggers for 3g?
  18. I gave the registration a stab just now and was amazed that it was open/accepted my payment! Here's to hoping it's not full... I really didn't think I'd have a chance to get in at this point.
  19. Yep, Rockcastle will handle that once they sort out staff, sponsor slots and paid slots. Cool deal. Thanks for putting it on, Mark!
  20. Looks like I need to be approved in order order to pay...but I am registered!
  21. This was my first multigun match beyond the club level. I had a great time and learned a ton. Shannon ran a smooth match and the prize table and beer were a great end to a great weekend.
  22. Hi. I'm a longtime lurker. I'm new to USPSA and focusing on multigun. I'm from Central FL. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
