  1. I took the Rifles Only "Precision Rifle 1 & 2 Combo" five day course last month and highly recommend it. Jacob Bynum is an outstanding instructor and has a great facility in Kingsville. I would go back in a heartbeat! Phil G
  2. Thanks for the update and the video. I guess it's going to be a while before we get to see reticle pics and comparison of dot illumination brightness with these new scopes for 2012. I was kind of surprised to see that Swaro even updated the 1-6X Z6i. What changes did Swarovski make to the Z6i 1-6x24 Scope? Phil G
  3. I have a Briley Light Mod extended choke tube which patterns great. You can get one here Phil G
  4. I use the HydroTac stick on bifocal on the lens of my shooting glasses on my dominant eye only. I place it in the top 1/3 of the lens so that I only look thru it when I tilt my head down. That allows me to engage the bifocal only when I am needing it to have complete focus on my front sight. The rest of the time I am looking thru the bottom 2/3 of the lens and it has no correction. It is not a perfect solution but it works better than anything else I have tried. Here is a link to get a bifocal replacement lens made for your dominant eye shooting glasses. It inverts the bifocal with the correction in the top 1/3. It does the same thing as the HydroTac stick on lens - it is just more permanent. I ordered the bifocal replacement lens several years ago and was very happy with it. Unfortunately, over time I needed more corrrection. So I ordered a HydroTac stick on lens with more correction to see if it helped. The HydroTac has worked well and I never got around to ordering a stronger bifocal replacement lens. I can move the HydroTac around on my shooting glasses to find the "perfect" location on my dominant eye lens. Phil G
  5. Benny, how do you tune where your slugs hit using the clamp? Is it about moving the clamp closer to, or farther from the muzzle, or cranking-down the screws on the clamp? I'm about to order a Nordic Components clamp for my 22" M2 in order to mount a sling to the gun for shooting the Blue Ridge Mtn match for the first time. Slugs out of my shotgun shoot extremely high, and I'm hoping that adding the clamp will help with that. Thanks! I'm not Benny, but this is what he posted on another "my Benelli shoots high" thread: "....with a nordic clamp, the more I move it back, the higher it shoots & move it foward, it hits lower." Phil G
  6. Do you have a link. I went to the "group buy" forum on Snipers Hide and couldn't find it. Thanks Phil G Found it - Group buy - TRG 260 Phil G
  7. Do you have a link. I went to the "group buy" forum on Snipers Hide and couldn't find it. Thanks Phil G
  8. Try McMaster-Carr See link Phil G
  9. A 1911 style recoil spring needs to be compressed to a length of 1.625 inches in order to measure its poundage. See the link on building and operating a homemade recoil spring measuring tool. See link. Phil G
  10. Give Bobby a call at Freedom Gunworks. Click here for website Phil G
  11. The thread linked below has a photo of a 21 inch Benelli barrel with a Briley extended choke and a Nordic extension tube (plus a 1 1/2 inch long Nordic magazine cap) that is flush with the end of the barrel. Since you are using a flush choke the Nordic 3/4 inch long magazine cap might be what you are looking for. See link Phil G
  12. Chemical deterioration of smokeless powder produces an acrid odor quite different from the normal smell of smokeless powders. You will know it when you smell it because it smells bad! Phil G
  13. I enjoyed the wisdom of his quote: "Am I not destroying my enemies when I make friends of them?" Phil G
  14. I have ordered several items from Optics Planet and am pleased with their service and prices. They send out discount coupons and codes to customers after your first purchase. The discount codes I have received ranged from 5% - 15%. Gives you a "good" reason to buy more stuff. Phil G
