She must be an older sister, I can't imagine his parents trying again after him. Sorry, had to pile on...

I thought this was pretty cool to read. It should be good incentive for D and C class shooters to see a current GM talk about shooting a 16% just a couple of years ago. Thanks Flex.

Bullet strike on or through glass.

2005 Lady Smith Match & Camp

Is she shooting SSR? -
Glad I don't have an unnecessary feature like that on my 1989 models... Equally annoying is the "hammer down" (meaning: "hey, would you pull the trigger again") after I show someone an empty cylinder of a DAO gun. Usually accompanied by a batting of the eyes and a dumb look.

I believe there is one (if not two) of these behind a berm at the Havana, IL range. This should save you the money on buying new ones and throwing your own into the woods after they fail you in a major match. These are great for holding them while your standing still and if you don't have a McDonald's Compensator above your belt line. If you have an extra ten pounds or you have to move during the stage - I'd toss them in the woods. Maybe nothing will happen the first 10-100 times you use them but eventually the rounds become loose in the holder, pop out while on the move or bending down. When this happens to you in the major match you've waited all month to attend you will not appreciate how effective they were the first 99 times. Just my $0.02 but if you have to bake, boil, or blow dry your equipment...you might consider something else.

So, just for point of clarification for newbies like myself.... Say you're in C class and you have a 57%...you shoot a couple of good classifiers back to back that push you to 60.1% and you jump to B class. Then your next eight plus classifiers are your "normal" or slightly below normal performance and you're current percentage drops to 50% but your high percentage is 60.1%...you're still a B-class shooter? Just trying to make sense out of it all. Sucks to have to keep a 42% and drop a 55% that were shot within a few months of each other just because the 55% isn't in the last 8 classifiers.

The upcoming issue of the Tactical Manifesto states that everyone will be required to wear the rainbow striped "Mork and Mindy" suspenders. Get yours now and avoid the rush.

I hope someone has a picture of the range conditions today. It was rain and snow (sometimes white-out conditions - BIG flakes), mud everywhere, water flowing off the range - (2-3" deep in places)....and he smoked the stage _ SMOKED IT> He was very subdued after doing it too. He must have known it was coming. Confidence like that must feel nice. A well deserved - CONGRATULATIONS, JAKE>

Certainly not. It started out innocently enough with a question regarding how it was setup and shot. Would never game a classifier - what's the point? I have enough trouble trying to shoot them as written (see Barrel of Fun... ). I was merely asking if it was an option to shoot over the top (before I read the fine print detailing the height of the barrier). But it does look like someone would be allowed to shoot under the table - but it would be of little benefit. More of an "observation" type post than an actual "gaming the classifier" type. Something tells me I'll see this soon now that he thinks I'm gaming it... Gotta get off the Internet It's killing my percentage!

D-R-E-A-M-I-N-G Smith and Wesson keeps pumping out stuff for the guy that buys pretty stuff with stupid sights, ports, and colorful grips...not competitive shooters. They could care less. Just visit the guys at the IDPA booth...they were very nice gentlemen but didn't know a tinkers damn about revolvers or anything planned for the future...nor did they want to hear any comments about 9mm's in a cylinder... I've seen where someone talked to JM and he said he was going to speak to SW about a 9mm. I just can't see them listening to him either. SW is really missing the boat. How many woman or men with small hands would scoop up a 9mm revolver in a four inch barrel (with evil moon clips)? The real problem is that this would cut into the .38spl market and I just can't see them making one...too many people actually want it. ...and IF they ever do... it WILL be a moon clip gun that no one can use in IDPA for ESR...

Strangely that might be allowed ...why else would you raise the bottom of the barrier? Not sure my big butt would fit under any easier than it would rest on top of the table .

I was being sarcastic...Even I'm not that darned gamey...not yet anyway.

This is a good reference website for the three top models. http://www.1radardetector.com/ Escort 8500 X50 works great (available in blue or red display - not completely concealed display but very low red light and abbreviated display makes it virtually invisible when driving at night). I don't need the voice warning stuff of the BELpro interferring with the ones in my head while I'm driving. -
Must have done something right - looks to me that you shot a 96%. Don't get to used to C class
-
0.79% between Revolver and production...revolver being higher!
-
Oops, just read the fine print about the table being off the ground 30" so the top of the board would be 78" tall...so who's tried to jump on the table, come on, I know one of you has done it....
-
Do you have to shoot through the port or can you stand up and shoot over the barricade? What have the forementioned shooters done in this regard? Thanks

Good story of perseverance! Welcome to the Brian Enos Universe, Hunter. You need to put a picture of that sweet new Open gun on your profile though Steve L.
