  1. Just ordered my first Slide Glide #1 few days a go. Can't wait to try it!
  2. Not realy. The secret is that you have to bake it real slowly.
  3. I had a 6" Les Bear on STI standard 2011 frame and was collecting dust, so I've decided to gave it a boost. We cut the slide and barrel to 5" and put on SPS cone comp with three vertical ports and two sideways. Have frame mount for Docter Sight (collecting money for sight). Also have two 120 STI mags and two SPS 140 mags, none 170 yet. I've ordered slide lightening for better looks I've decided to put in new sear, disconnector and hammer but I have dilemma which combination to put in. Option1: Doug Koenig hammer, EGW sear and disconnector Option2:Extreme Engineering- Extreme Ultimate Trigger Kit-Warp Speed I'll post some photos when a gun will be finished. Before and after transformation of course
  4. I know that with faster splits I will not win the match, but it's a skill that I would like to learn. The best shooter in our country once said to me; The key of winning a match is that you have to move while shooting smooth as someone would drop a bucket of water in front of you and when you are just running to another position you have to run like you've just broke the leash. I hope that I've translated right.
  5. I am wondering what I am doing wrong, because I am very slow with splits at close targets. At close targets, lets say up to 12 feet I have splits .20-.22 and transitions .23-.25, not much a difference. At 30 feet my splits are about .30 for double A which think is quite good for my level of performance. So am I slow with a finger or just taking sight picture too long even when I point shooting? Take a look

    Help me decide

I would say go with Witness with Henning mags. CZ TS is a great gun, but parts like to brake a lot. My shooting teammate cracked two barrels in a year and a half. Last one cracked at 9k.
  7. Three days ago I've got mine Stock II. I live in Europe so I took small frame version. Comparing to SP-01 Shadow, Stock II has a worse trigger, the DA is shorter but SA is heavier, less sharp and reset is longer. Recoil control is better with Stock II and I can pick sights faster. The finish is great and I love bull barrel. So far I've shot 400 rounds without any jams. Overall I like Stock more, but that's just personal opinion. I just need get used to longer reset and maybe put on alu grip panels because I have small hands.
  8. As splashdown guessed I am not from USA. So I shoot IPSC where 6" isn't allowed in standard (limited). The gun is out of use more than a year now, so I just like to build a 5" standard 9mm minor gun for my girlfriend and maybe later buy conversion kit for open to have some fun at steel matches. Oh BTW what paint do I need to paint a STI grip.
  9. Now I have 6" bushing barrel, and yes i was thinking of buying new 5" bull barrel or maybe it's possible to made custom bushing to fit cutted barrel.
  10. I have a 6" a les bear slide on 2011 STI frame but is no use in IPSC and I don't shoot precision anymore, so I would like to cut it on 5" size. Can it be done? I'll do the same with a barrel.
