  1. My loads are 132 PF. And last time I had troubles was at indoor shooting range. I am shooting with VV N320 for several years now and never had such a troubles. Last time I've chroned my reloads all were about 900 FPS except one which was 700 fps. That difference can't come from cold weather especialy not for just one reload and others were fine.
  2. I've cleaned and checked everything. But I've noticed that powder is sticking in powder bar as shown on photo.
  3. Hi, I have a 1 year old 650 which started to drop powder very inconsistently. I am using 3,6 Gr VV N320 with small powder bar and I didn't have troubles since recently. The first 8000 rounds I've loaded were very accurate and I didn't notice any soft loads. I've took everything apart and cleaned even polished powder bar and it didn't help that much. Sometimes happens that the powder charge is so small that gun doesn't cycle. What could be the reason for sudden change?
  4. You can load with less powder TS but at same PF it has a more barrel flip. Don't ask me why but that's how it is. I have few friends switching from TS to STI and all are saying that STI has less felt recoil and has a faster second shot acquisition. Edit: I imagine that 5,4" S_I is even softer to shoot.

  6. Quick tips for Luke. 1. Relax a bit. Your shooting stance is to tense. Being more relaxed will help you with faster target to target transitions. 2. Always bring gun to eye level not other way around. Don't push head down when you enter shooting position just bring the gun up. 3. Take a bit more time to aim at steel you can save a lot of extra shots. 4. Don't chase the front sight to next target, let your eyes lead. At 2:19 you had to drop the gun in order to find next target (also result of pushing head so low between shoulders).
  7. Any beer cans smashing after the speech???
  8. I have .120 rear notch and 6 1/2" sight radius.
  9. I've put on wider .120 front sight to see the difference and it looks better to me. I have to shoot it to know exactly which is better, but I think .115 front sight should be perfect.
  10. Since I have a new gun I have a very narrow .095 with .040 fiber insert front sight. I am missing steel and hitting a lot of C's when I am to sloppy with sight picture. Because I have huge amount of light left and right it happens to me that I am braking a shot when sights are not properly aligned but I can still see front sight through rear notch and light on both sides just not equal amount on both sides. It just happens to me that I sub-concisely break the shot when I see front sight through rear notch on paper or metal. Do you think that with wider front sight I would became more precise. My theory is that because seeing less light on sides it would eliminate some of the aiming error. If I would still break the shot sub-concisely seeing the whole sight through rear notch. Wider sight should be more aligned then narrow in cases when unequal amount of light is visible on sides. I believe that with wider front sight it would take me more time to pick it up in rear notch but it should be still much faster then missing a steel or dropping points hitting the C's. What do you think???
  11. If you carefully take material off mag release you should be ok. I did a bit too much and had a small gap outside, but zero issues because of that. All CZ's does drop the slide on aggressive mag seating, but to me never happened that wouldn't strip a round.
  12. You will still have poor fitting and low quality materials. I don't know about quality of CZ's in USA but here in Europe there are no much CZ guns past 50k without major part (barrel, slide, frame) broken knowing that and that the Sphinx will run past 100k mark... So for 1000$ I can get a CZ shadow to last 50k, for 3500 I can get a sphinx to go 100K.....I'm not good at math but I think I can get 3 shadows and go 150k Your math is right It strange to me that in case of Sphinx it's hard to except for some that the quality has a price. If everyone would buy just on price basis and not on quality then also SVI and STI would be out of job because they are much more expensive then CZ TS. Or in your opinion Sphinx can't compare to other top brands, because it looks like cheap CZ on first look?
  13. To me is more interesting which factory has actual trademark rights, Springfield or HS Produkt...
  14. I doubt that Tokyo Marui would make exact replica without having factory permission first.
  15. Not true! The new XDm is worldwide trademark. The old XD was for North America only and the rest world had HS2000's.

  17. This one? http://www.ericgrauffel.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=41&products_id=102 or this one? http://www.ericgrauffel.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=278 The first is the competition sear as in Stock II and other competition models. The second is new sear as in Stock III, but you need to buy this additional part to get it functional. http://www.ericgrauffel.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=43&products_id=279
  18. There is no stock Sphinx, because all guns are precisely hand fitted and tuned right from the factory, it's basically a custom shop and not a factory. Here you can look at some options they offer on their guns: http://www.sphinx-systems.ch/files/pdf/sphinx_comp_low.pdf Fitting and finish is superb and at least on the level with any custom gun for 3000$. I'll post some photos of fitting and finish here ASAP.
  19. I have to do same decision. Been shooting with CR Speed past two years, but the new gun won't fit. So my choice is between Racemaster and Ghost. I had Ghost in the past and when you glue down two screws on locking lever it's ok, plus position of the locking lever is adjustable. I've also handling few racemasters, but in the last two the gun was wobbling in them, considering the price that shouldn't happen. Ghost isn't the tight fit also, but you have two screws on top and one inside to fine adjust and eliminate all the wobbling. For Ghost you can also buy a spare block for different gun, at least in Europe we have such an option. Most concerning with Ghost is that you can hear "click" before the gun is fully seated, if you release the gun will fall. Happened to me two times at first (luckily both times empty). After that I was always double checking if the gun is properly seated.
  20. Update: With round nose bullets feeding is 100%. We will still put spacers inside, just in case.
  21. I've talked to the gunsmith who made the gun. He said that ejector has to be that long because of the 9mm cartridge, but that ejector is shaped at the bottom at such an angle that rounds don't touch it. Photo does not show that correctly. Also he is kind enough that he will send spacers and 9mm followers for 140 magazines.
  22. No not yet. As I stated above gun is not mine so it takes a bit more coordination to test everything. Friend bought RN bullets and he will load to 1.165 to try that first. Second step is to get spacers, but it will take a while since we live in Europe. Extraction is not a problem, marks on C-more are old since it was mounted on different gun for approximately 1000 rds. We had few extraction problems but with ammo of 157PF. Gun is new and very tight and the recoil spring is 12 lbs, so I think it's normal that gun doesn't run with to low PF. When we loaded 15 rounds into 140 magazine gun was 100% all the time.
  23. Friend of mine bought a new open gun in 9mm major and he has failure to feed trouble. Magazines and springs are brand new, he has a 170 SPS magazine (copy of SVI) and two 140 STI magazines all without spacers. We tried with 1.180 and 1.2 OAL. When magazines are not fully loaded he has no trouble feeding on the other hand fully loaded magazines have zero chances to feed. He has to remove few rounds to feed 100%. We tried to change followers between magazines and still had the same results. Is it normal that rounds are touching ejector as shown on 2nd photo? 3rd photo is just to show how beautiful she is Here are couple of pics...
  24. Thank you! I'll ask at SSI if they can get CZ front sight for me. I am already their customer so there should be no trouble.
