  1. Here you go http://www.k-var.com/arex-rex-alpha-9-9mm-pistol
  2. Hi, grip size is close to Witness Limited small frame with wooden grips. I have small hands and it fits me perfect, but I like larger grips.
  3. This is the aftermarket alu version. Trigger pull is still very short, just a little harder to reach DA with short fingers, but feeling on SA mode is superb almost the same as SA only trigger. I've put it in my gun and I like it a lot!
  4. Besicaly we redesign everything compared to Rex Zero 1 handgun. Lighter springs, no firing pin block, different firing pin.... Well you can get Shadow 2 on 2lbs SA and 5lbs DA, and Tanfoglios on 2lbs SA and 6lbs DA. But trigger pull lenght for DA is much longer with CZ and Tanfoglio.
  5. I think that customer support will be there as it's getting better and better with Arex handguns already available in the US. Plus some manufacturers already showed the interest for making aftermarket parts, and aftermarket will grow with popularity of the Alpha. The biggest thing is that Arex will offer truly out of the box competition ready handgun. No need to put extra $$$ in to be competitive with Alpha. Compared to biggest competitors the trigger will be a bit heavier because of the design, but it's softer shooting gun with more durable parts, especialy slide stop is impossible to break. I have SA about 2,5 lbs and DA 7,5 lbs. Works 100% with CCI, Maghtech and S&B primers. Any lighter only Federal and Winchester are good to go.
  6. Hi! New competition gun is hitting the market... It's called Rex Alpha, it was introduced at Shot Show 2018 and will be available shortly in USA. For 1099 USD will be a serious alternative to CZ/Tanfoglio competition guns... I am shooting and testing it past year and all I can say is that is reliable and softest shooting steel gun on the market. Get hands on one and try it, you will be surprised as were other shooters when they tried it.
  7. After few years with Dillon 650XL problem arise. Primers started to stuck between rotation disc and feeding tube. Took everything apart few times and cleaned, but after primer level in tube goes low primer sticks in disc, that disc can't rotate forward anymore. In my opinion they are two possibilities: 1. Primer doesn't fall completely into disc and it stuck between disc and tube. 2. Second primer in a tube drops down just enough that disc grabs it. Any solutions to my problem?
  8. Here is my BUL.... few more tweaks and it's ready to go.... green FO front, SVI trigger, extended mag release and alu mag well is going to surface treatment....
  9. The barrel drops for 0,012 inches when slide stop is inserted....
  10. Hi! When I insert slide stop into the frame it pulls down a barrel from locking a bit. Is this OK or should I change barrel link? Is clearly visible through slide stop hole, that the barrel link hole is not aligned vertically with slide stop hole, when the barrel is completely locked up.... The gun shoots high and I am thinking that is the reason for it.... The barrel link fit to lower barrel lugs looks as it should.
  11. Finally got my BUL 1911. But surprisingly Matelform mags don't fit. As it looks they are touching bottom of the slide, because when the slide is locked back they fit, but with zero clearance to ejector.... Also the slide can't move freely forward from locked position when magazine is inserted.... I've used the same magazines in Spartan and they ran 100%.
  12. Yes. Since today it's officially approved for IPSC Classic division! Now I am just 3000 EUR short to get one
  13. Agree... But thats how decided.... I am just a messenger
  14. I will tell you more clearly.... Those front serrations on DVC Classic are not resembling the true 1911 style and because of that the gun is NOT allowed in IPSC Classic. If you want to see the rule interpretation and clarification go to the Global Village, which is an official IPSC forum....
  15. I can answer for DVC classic, with holes through slide that would be the slide lightening wich is not allowed according to IPSC rules for classic divisions. Yes and I know they are still complications around this gun to be allowed in IPSC classic, because front serrations does not resemble 1911 enough.....
  16. Well 10 rounds minor vs. 8 rounds major is never ending debate in IPSC. I guess each shooter has to figure it out his strengths and weaknesses and decide.... I've decided to go with minor, I usually shoot over 90% available points and because of that I believe I will benefit more from 2 extra rounds and softer recoil. 2 extra rounds are great for positions with a lot of steel, minimum 9 rounds from one position or two very close positions with 8-10 rounds combined.... I am going with closed style magwell like dawson or techwell XT. I just hope my BUL will arrive soon.....
  17. Can't wait to get mine. It should arrive soon.... I will change the sights and put magwell on it and that's about it for starters... I am going to use it for IPSC classic
  18. Wrong forum for this kind of question. Asking about IPSC PD at mainly USPSA forum can be confusing.... It's very simple it must be on the list. The list is not barrel lenght specific. If the 4" and 5" gun have the same slide markings are both legal under the same name, if they have different markings, then they have to be on the list separately.
  19. What about magazine springs? Do you use also Bolen? How many coils?
