  2. And just think, you'll get a good portion of your money back if you ever decide to sell!!! Can't even say that about your house anymore.......
  3. I my past racing endeavors if the inspection tool was not called out for in the rulebook then you fell into the flexible "Gray Area" and we know where that gets the likes of Jimmie Johnson, Petty's, Junior Johnson etc....... Sometimes the officials have their own set of tools to measure you by. I just ordered a gauge just in case.........
  4. I ran into that on a couple of mine and found it to be the follower "legs" catching on the extended base as it passed by. Could also be a spring coil doing the same. As a test you can load up until full and then smack the bottom a couple of times on a hard surface. If you can now get more rounds in this is your culprit.
  5. I've had mine since they were first offered. As noted by others the point of which the lens is mounted a little low. While running a stage I get to see the rear of the gun and my hand positions pretty well. Never see the whole sight picture or the target. Plan to play a bit with adding pads to the nose pieces to see if I can get the FOV higher. The quality of video is very good and I think the sound quality is great. Oh, and yes it's tough to wear muffs with them on, had to add padding to my left muff. These are great for dry fire practice when combined with a laptop camera to give the alternate point of view and show you how bad your skills are..
  6. This type would be great for rolling a bead on the end of metal tubing so that when a hose is clamped over it (i.e. radiator hose) it will not tend to slip off.
  7. Limited 10 / Limited division both have major and minor power factors. You are ready to run either right now if you wanted with 9mm but you will be scored lower on anything but A- zone hits (Steel is equal of course). Not really a big deal if your just out to have fun initially and hone your skills. Depending on your classification shooting minor initially may be fine until you start getting more competitive and may actually help you get there. How, because shooting minor will help to force you to shoot A- zone shots as well as allow you to work out your reload strategy easier. In 9mm with a 140 mag you will have more rnds to work with in the mag than the .40 guys. So what I'm saying and did myself is there is no reason why you can't run Limited with the equip you have and work into another caliber pistol later. I personally ran a Tanfoglio Limited HC which is perfect for limited division and can be shot as is or modified as you see fit.
  8. I run a Blade Tech made for the M&P 9 Pro. Fits great!!!
  9. I'd like to help you but I made mine out of a piece of 1 1/2" x 1/8" thick aluminum bent to fit on the stong mount. Strong as hell an cost me $1.00.....................
  10. Witnessed this conversation in person, walked away with a grin on my face knowing just what you were thinking...
  11. The 10mm mags allow you to load longer. There are various reasons for doing this (better feeding, powder use and expected pressures, felt recoil, etc) There is alot of info related to .40 loads at these lengths and why people chose to load long on the forum so I'll leave it up to you if any may pertain to your needs..
  12. 1.18" is about at the limit for my .40 mag. Since I started running 1.20" the .40 mag is out!!!! I doubt you'll see any difference in mag changes other than when seating the mag. I always loaded my reload mags 1 rnd down so that they would seat easier. I most cases 1 less round will not be a handicap on the 2nd & 3rd mag unless your emptying it on the Texas Star..
  13. How many cartridges do you make in an average loading session? 200 How many cartridges do you make in an average week? 200 Which press do you use? Dillon RL550B How many cartridges can you load in an hour? 400 (If I prep 4 primer tubes ahead and sit while loading) How long is your average loading session? 30 minutes Knowing what you know now if your reloading equipment was lost or stolen what would you buy today? Dillon 650XL. EDIT: (Loading .40S&W specific with no powder charge, bullet type or O.L. changes).
  14. Speed Shooters Specialties can help you out in limited. The longer sight radius of the Pro wouldn't hurt but you can work with what you have. I run 20rnds in my mags with the Taylor Freelance bases so round count will not be an inhibitor.

    TSA Signs

Chris, Nice pic's but, I think I used to work with that guy before the "Operation".
  16. IPSC or USPSA? Rules are different so we need to know for sure......
  17. I have run into the same issue loading my .40 mags but not the 9mm. For what it's worth (I see you already cut the followers) a bang of the mag bottom on the knee or another surface is usually enough to get the follower around the ridge. I've been doing this while loading Tanfoglio mags for so long I just took it as second nature!!!!
  18. I'm running the taylor freelance extensions that I had on my 9mm Pro, You can't go wrong with them. +1 on the Speed Shooters Specialties magwell and get the mag springs they offer also..... I would also suggest the tungston guide rod....

    My gun room

Foxbat ...OMG.... I just want to be able to shoot enough to NEED 4 loaders with casefeeders.... Damn.....
  20. We shoot year round (outdoors only). Snowblower cuts in a 3 foot snow drift makes for natural free fire zones !!! The brass hounds turn into pasters for the match.
  21. Family members or not, if you Live Free in this country they are all OUR VET's... Thank you all!!!
  22. I have a few basic small washers that I have ground to make a certain weight based on my current loads. These are checked on 3 (1 Balance, 2 electronic) scales before I start using them. Currently 1 each for 4.3gr, 4.5gr, 4.9gr and 5.2gr. They go on the scale every 100 rnds when I'm loading. At this point this has been as accurate as I've needed to get and seem to work as a good compliment to my scales huge cal weights.
  23. No reason to just skip it. At the least take one plate. You end up with 4 misses but avoid the failure to engage. I have been frustrated by it many times even if I shot it well. I have myself and have seen others go toe to toe with it and empty mag after mag on it. Some days you just got to know when to walk away!!!! In the end, your there for fun and to get better so just go at it...
