  1. I think I've been squadded with that guy.....
  2. Your car breaks down on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. The only passer by is the person you sold the gun to and basically told "it's yours now". They stop and give you a ride to the nearest garage after stopping and buying you lunch. How's the conscience doing then??? You just never know.....
  3. We have a guy up here in VT that would still be in shorts and a sweat shirt, A couple of others in Kilts sometimes!!! Ain't cold up here until that 10 degrees is on the bottom side of zero. Besides, the 4-5ft snow keeps the wind down and makes fault lines unnecessary!!!
  4. Just found out we have no hope of recovering the funds we put out for a custom home address sign we purchased at our local home & garden show this past April. Found there are hundreds of BBB complaints going back to 2008. Stay away from this person / buisiness at any of your local home / Garden / Farm shows: George Kise Toothpics & Broomsticks Or Wildflowers & Bugs Syracuse N.Y. Thousands of dollars never recovered from this buisiness.
  5. Pricey?? $25 for a mag tube is the cheapest mags I've seen besides the MecGar CZ ones. Aren't STI tubes $60+ ? I was talking Henning Tuned mag sets (They are woth it)... Do it yourself and yes, you can save $$$....
  6. You'll want to talk to Henning about the new Mecgar mags and best load length for proper function. I've always run the 10MM mags with ammot loaded to 1.20" and they have been tempermental to tune but the new mags should cure that.. As usual, mags are pricey but no more than a 2011 platform.
  7. You'll want to go here..... http://www.henningshootsguns.com Here's what mine looks like thank's to Henning and best of all, you can do most work yourself...
  8. Great news!!!! Can't wait to get some K40's and give them a try.
  9. Hi Henning,

Would love to get back to shooting my limited with reliable mags. When do you think you will have the K40's avalable?? Will they use the H141 pads I already have?? Thanks again for your help!!!

    Rod.

  10. Randy, I thought you were shooting minor???
  11. My first gun.. Savage Model 90A semi 22lr., 4-6 Weaver. Owned for 40yrs and still love to shoot her. 1000's rounds down the tube.
  12. Cha-Lee, I've run my 40 Pro with the same mag extensions but using the ISMI springs and stock followers with no nose dive issues using the same U-die I used with my EAA Limited loading. I'm only loading to 19/18 but did not have any feed issues (Zero 180gr JHP, Major) Is it possible that your recoil spring may be too light? I only ran for approx 100rnds before going to an STI platform but if there was even one nose dive issue I would have been disappointed since that is what drove me away from my Limited. I also never had any feed issues when I was running my 9mm Pro in limited minor with the same mag set up for approx 5K rnds, no issues. I think once you find what theproblem is, your gonna love the M&P!!!!!
  13. This topic has been interesting. Now, if the "competitor" had been DQ'ed and he then escalated the ruling thru arbitration up thru the ranks it would have been very informative I'm sure......... Hmmm, wonder if it would have made Front Sight??????
  14. Question... You do not indicate that he racked the slide and checked for clear before dropping the hammer. If this is the case then there was an assumption on his part that the chamber was empty and if it was not there would have been a big surprise for everyone. Definitely not safe gun handling in my eye's and I would have been a little PO'ed personally either way. Still not sure a DQ event but I sure would be trying to argue the fact. In my mind the "Safe Area" is set up as part of the match structure, and the requirment to use it IS part of the rulebook. If the competitor did not in fact believe this was the case then why did he use the Safe table to begin with??? Unfortunatly, the rulebook does not support a decision either way in this situation.
  15. Now that, is a lightened slide...... I'm going to have to get mine off the safe door now and start cuttin!!!!
  16. There have been alot of comments on another site in regards to the quality of the stainless M&P slides. There have been issues with some light spot rusting after the slides were balsted bare. With the 40. Pro being one of the latest models it will be interesting to see if you encounter the same. I'm sure a light coat of oil after each range session would also help.. Keep us informed!!!
  17. The tri top will place the front sight in a lower postion which obviously then requires a taller front sight be installed. When I had my 1911 flat topped (not tri cut) and serrated I opted to have it stop before the front sight cut so I could continue to use whatever sight I wanted. Not sure if this would be an option for you or not. I think you can see that detail in the earlier pic I posted.
  18. I've had Bobby @ Freedom do a 1911 and an Edge for me in Atranite. Great looks and very durable. Approx $150.00 for frame and slide with about 3-4 weeks turn around more / less. Bobby is a great guy to deal with, you can see more of his work on the Freedom Gunworks forum.
  19. Go, Listen, Watch, Ask questions, Be safe and be sure to help out alot!!!
  20. I'll try to offer some constructive advice here. It's possible these problems could be corrected by Dillon or others on here if they actually had the press in their hands and could duplicate the issues you are having. As a 2nd choice is it possible for you to make /post a video of the press in operation so those that know better than I can review and offer some constructive advice on how to correct the problems. Obviuosly this could mean there are press issues or operator / set up issues that could be corrected by others who may have had the similar problems.
  21. I know Dan can be difficult to contact many times... For those that do not know it he is probably the only person I know that puts a detailed explanation with pictures on his web page on how to complete a good trigger job on the M&P...... http://www.burwellguns.com/misc/M&Ptriggerjob.pdf
  22. I have a 9mm & .40S&W. Dry fire the hell out of it an it will get alot smoother. If then not satisfactory I would go to an Apex kit or have Dan Burwell do his magic on it.
  23. This is not good news. Was looking forward to running these mags in Limited. If I wanted to run L-10 I'd stay with the mags I have already.. Hope Mec-Gar wasn't planning a fortune on these mags to cover development costs....
