  1. With the prices these are commanding kinda wish I hadn’t modded mine up…. Oh wait, No I don’t…
  2. You may have noticed that your grip with the revolver and strain on your trigger finger is entirely different than with your 2011. With the Revo trigger, pull weight and that long pull and release you don’t have with a 2011 trigger. Dry fire for a while and you’ll see it takes some effort and you’ll have strain all the way to your shoulder. I notice it because I only shoot Revo occasionally, you’ll get used to it quick though. What helps with a revolver is something that gets talked about allot, grip… Its really important to keep that strong hand grip as loose as possible and grip like hell with the support hand. It will help allot to eliminate the strain. Try it in dryfire for about 20 trigger pulls as fast as you can with your strong hand grip light and super tight and you’ll see the difference real quick…
  3. You indicate Limited optics is your preference so follow AGW suggestions and purchase what is best for that division (RDS ready). Of coarse the assumption is the “ Home Gun / Range Toy” aspect you speak of is secondary. In most cases it’s difficult to be satisfied with your purchase if you try to make it capable of filling multiple roles, i.e. A good Carry Optics competition gun will probably not be practical for personal carry use also…
  4. I run 6.9 WAC at 1.155 under PD 124JHP @ 174-176PF 3 port comp, 2 popple hole barrel. Lengthening OAL gets the power factor down but I start to see more muzzle rise.
  5. This has been discussed here before if you do a search you’ll find a bunch of info. I dry tumble except HP’s as it seems they manage to get clogged up regardless of media.
  6. Your warranty on the 1100 is not the same as it was on your 550. You’ll still get the support. 2yr. defects vs. no BS lifetime unconditional.
  7. Anyone else notice the forum content display shrinking with ads now on right panel? Using iOS / safari. Prior was a top horizontal ad only now also right vertices. On a small display, not much left…..
  8. Looks sweet! Let us know how the RTS2 holds up…
  9. This is exactly why I switched from the Sig XL to the FTP….
  10. The muzzle over the burm issue would be a local range rule, not a USPSA rule. If your at a range with that rule competes are usually required to adjust to it. Here is a great prior discussion on the revolver 180 subject which based on your experience may help you decide which reload to select (Strong or weak hand).
  11. Division is what your speaking of and stippling if completed in accordance with the rulebook is allowed and would not change your division.
  12. My feeder is older and doesn’t have this guide. Seldom had flipped cases. Now run the DAA plate and it seems fine without their flipper added…
  13. They do fit well!! I remove the magwell from grip and place on carpet bottom up. Position the insert, place a small block of wood on top of it then press that down with my foot. Pops right in.. could do same in a vise but you still have to protect everything.
  14. Load it to major, the chamber will keep’er tight…
  15. S&W 929 - Allchin mount W/ FTP 8moa optic.
  16. Not as long as they’re under a provisional status but I would run what I already have..
  17. I use similar to this that came with an IPhone tool kit.. https://www.walmart.com/ip/20x-Lot-Blue-Plastic-Pry-Tools-for-iPhone-Cell-Phone-Opening-Repair-Scratch-Safe/824402845
  18. That’s what I’m thinking also. 2nd time in last few months I’ve seen this reported using coated bullets. I have to wonder if because of the bullet type bullet is not be crimped enough allowing setback as the coating is pretty slick.
  19. Are you seeing this bulge due to the 160gr bullet or are you also running a diameter larger than .355? I run a Bayou 160gr @ .358 for my Revo and see a bulge also but it was expected…
  20. My optometrist has been great. I started wearing glasses at 50 as I needed readers badly. A year later I switched to progressive lenses for convenience. Neither non script or my current script worked well while shooting. My optometrist worked with me to build a set of shooting classes that work well at getting both a dot an open sights in good focus with the target just slightly out of focus. She also adjusted the lens grinding to allow me to keep my head down and not having to turtle neck for a good sight picture. These glasses were worth every penny ad since my script hasn’t changed I’m 6 years into this set…
  21. I get less than 1 in 500. The hundo gauge I use is tighter than my chamber so once filled if I have any high I give the gauge a quick tap on my bench mat and they usually all seat. Any that don’t, I pull and inspect. Seldom have to pull any.
  22. Several years ago (2017) I shot a few Steel Challenge matches, revolver optics. At that time I thought it would be cool to be able to leave the optic on and shoot USPSA open. Because I was already set up with an open gun never got around to trying it but did set up a poll to see if others had the same interest. I would say 5yrs later the data is probably still relevant, maybe 50% would try it which we all know if that 50% are current Revo shooters, it’s a damn small number or participants….
  23. Wasn’t hard to see this coming. The explosion in carry optics after all of the changes has made it hard to ignore the popularity of an optic. I’m not sure that the same will occur with a LO division but it’s pretty obvious this is part of their thought process. I suspect if it goes provisional there will be many tweaks post acceptance as there has been with CO…. $$$
