Purpose at this point of the start is to get a good proper grip after the beep. Getting a poor grip .1sec faster than anybody else won’t really help you much…..

Bet you were fast enough to win Revo division!

I'm wondering if the U-die actually does anything more than make resizing more difficult in this particular situation. 0.358 bullets are already oversized for 9mm brass.
Have you experimented with running everything the same except using a standard sizing die?
I’ve run a U die for 9mm as a standard for all 9mm since I started reloading many years ago. As noted it is only .001” undersized and because it works never had reason to switch. On my 929 when I switched to .358 bayou’s I was worried I may be to tight a crimp but it has not been an issue and does not cut the coating.

OP, if you use 9mm Federal brass, a Lee U die, and a Bayou Bullets 160gr RN and you still get creep, it's you.
I've loaded tens of thousands of rounds with the above, without any creep.
I'm using an OAL of 1.190.
I run the same with Winchester brass and never had a creep issue. Running a .358 bullet is pretty tight when using a U-die so creep just doesn’t exist.

If your going the bench top mill route you will want something of Precision Mathew’s quality or better. I did some of my work using a Little Machine Shop Hi Torque bench model which while much better than the Harbour Freight stuff still had to do some work to dissipate chatter.

I've used a LEE U 9mm die and LEE fcd for years and probably over 100k rounds. Not a problem and I leave one hell of a crimp with the .358 bullets.
Supposedly I'm doing it all wrong according to some here but I'm sticking to what works.
I run same dies, .358 Coated 160gr. The .358dia bullet fits damn tight in a 9mm case to begin with so it doesn’t take allot of crimp…

If nothing shows wear check to make sure your mag width by the feed lips hasn’t widened up at all. That can cause the follower to get a little sloppy.

I did mine and you really don’t loose enough weight to make it noticeable…. As mine had a pretty lousy factory crown on it it was an easy decision to make.
User ysrracer shortened his quite a bit more with a new front sight. Look back at some of his 929 posts..

Most of your grip pressure should be coming from your weak hand. Sounds to me that you may be loosening your weka hand grip slightly during recoil and re-gripping for your next shot is pulling muzzle to the left. Just a guess.. try same at slower pace in practice and see if same happens. Being conscience of of it at the slower pace it will probably go away but give you better indication of the cause.

There are several aftermarket rackers for your application. When looking note that some will have a second set screw to help with retention. You can also drill and tap the original or 1 screw replacement for the second set screw…

Speed Sec. Great, no nonsense, secure holsters. I have one for Witness large frame, 1911 and N Frame Revo. Very few parts but almost impossible to get anything needing replacement….

I’ve run a 8moa FTP optic on my Open major gun since they first came out with no issues at all with it. I now have one on my S&W 929 and love it!

If you start to chamfer the edge your showing it will get to thin and they will break off in a short period of time and cause all kinds of problems. Ask me how I know…

To be blunt, your visual powder check system is failing and needs to be corrected. No better assurance than your eyes…. Are you using good lighting? Do you recall any hang ups with your loading process during this time? Many if not most no powder loads are do to an error after recovering from a loading process issue.
-
You didn’t state your oal or what PF your running. I run that same bullet and powder but had to bump my load up to a 175 PF load to make the comp work. Yes, it’s a little harder on the hand but not really noticeable and it runs flat…

Performance center model used in competition seems to be sketchy on if they’ll warranty cover the work. If you send in to S&W be sure they are aware it’s a performance center job and pray that helps with the transfer delay. Both times I had work done, it was over 12 weeks…

My load is Bayou .358 160gr, 2.9gr N320 @ 1.16. 127-128PF. As they are .358 I’ve had no issue requiring a tight crimp line…
-
160Gr .358 Bayou over N320 with TK clips, win brass. You may want to look at slugging your barrel to determine if it is oversized as most are before you decide on a bullet.

I made a couple sets myself for my 014’s using stainless at ~1/2 the thickness of originals. They last a long time. There is some work involved in making these simple clips so that price is pretty reasonable..
-
Depending on stage I’ll start with 170 or 155 and reload to 140. I have a couple 140’s with heavy bases I use to start on short classifiers with mandatory reloads as the drop from gun real easy even if empty.

I'm using 9mm Win cases, Lee U-die,147gr 38/357 Blue Bullets. Crimp is a Lee factory crimp at .379/.380, oal is 1.268. I am getting some creeping out, which I was learning to deal with, thought I had this issue fixed last year, what I considered a 98/99% reliable load. What I changed this year, was I shortened the barrel 1.5" and had the cylinder chamfered, I don't think these two things are causing this issue. Guess I'll try expanding the bell and crimping some more. Will try your recommendations and shoot 4/5 and then check to see if the rounds are still growing. One last thing, has anyone experienced reloaded rounds growing after sitting for extended periods of time? I have heard of this, but associated with compressed loads, which mine are not.
I think you may be better off as you indicate getting a bit more crimp. I run a length of 1.155 with the 160gr RN so quite a bit more seating depth. Also, not sure if your running a snappier powder like titegroup but that can have an affect also. I’m running N320 so with a 160gr bullet it’s a pretty soft load even @ 130pf

This issue was discussed quite a bit when the 929’s first came out. It’s a neck tension/crimp issue. Measure oal on 8 rounds, chamber them up and fire off 4 rounds. Unload the clip and measure remaining rounds oal. You’ll find they are longer. I’ve seen this be worse if your loading long as you have less bullet in the case to start with. I had similar issue using 125gr Blues but it lessened when I went to 147gr blues. Was using an Lee Udie so never was as bad as your seeing. When I slugged my barrel and found it to be .357 I switched to .358 160gr coated and I get no bullet movement with less crimp and no coating scrape.

You should only have to have the bolt snug tight. If it is loosening replace the nyloc nut. Also be sure the sleeve to bolt passes thru is not worn.
Winchester White Box Crushing Primers

Probably their Target & Practice labeled white box offering from last year or so. They indicate the brass is reloadable but they’re obviously crimped with different head stamps than had been available prior..
