I was using factory mags, but when the issue showed up, I sold them and bought more MG AFC mags. I'm now running CZC nickel mags or MG AFC mags (factory guts) and SP Pads.
-
The problem is usually solved with +10% springs. Springer Precision sell pads for the 18's.I've heard some positive comments about the Mecgars, and I believe they may be less expensive than the CZ magazines (individually priced - not on a per unit basis in the 3-packs of CZ mags). Does anyone know if there is a replacement base pad for the 18 round CZ magazines that might solve the mentioned problems?
Thanks, Snapcap
Here's 2 sets of my MG/SP mags.

I use the MecGar 17rd mags with SP pads. I also have a set of CZC Plated mags with SP pads.
I had issues with the factory mag basepad coming off during a reload.

Could even make one a CO gun to match my Production gun."Just think of all the Accu Shadows that will be going up for sale."
That's what I'm hoping for! I wore my brother's hand-me-downs (as long as they are in good condition).

Just think of all the Accu Shadows that will be going up for sale. LOL

Yep

So about $1150-$1225USDThe dealer in Canada doing a preorder for Shadow 2 is saying they will be out in June for $1500-$1600CDN.

The conversion of the CZech Koruna to US Dollar puts it at ~$1150 USD
CZ-USA has said that it's getting some for testing.

The 38S follower is the same as the 40 follower too.

I forget which 1911 builders class it was, but they recommended that people practice their filing skills by taking some round stock and making it square.
-
Spacer and follower is the only difference.
Feed lip specs are a little different too, if you tune them.

Very cool looking little gun, but it isn't a "Costa" thread until someone asks what underwear he's wearing.
Fixed it for you.

Same ejector for 40s&W and 9mm

Check the sear spring. I had an issue with hammer follow, it didn't show up when dry testing, but with live fire it would follow.

+1 on shooting Lim10, if you are set to use the SP01

The Costa VIP is the same grip as the old VIP (officer sized). Both take 120mm mags.I like the 9mm VIP...but it looks unfinished without a small magwell. Could do without the name splash too, but I understand marketing so not a huge deal.

There isn't really much of the Costa tax on the 4.0 and 5.0. They cost the same as the STI Hex Tac 2011.
And you gain a stippled grip with the Costa guns.

Any slide will fit, once you fit it, none will be a drop in slide. Look at Caspian for slides, should be under $400

Quick question on Springer RO do I need a new mainspring kit if I want to remove the ILS? Or can I reuse the existing gear?

Sphinx SDP Compact Duty mags (17rd)
in "Other" & Pistol Comparisons

Just picked one up LNIB/unfired a few days ago. When i was looking at it, the mags looked like Mec-Gar 17rd AFC CZ mags, and sure enough they are.
MG 17rd AFC with SP pads work.
Sphinx vs Mec-Gar mags
I noticed the MG mags with a notch at the bottom front work like the factory mags. My MG mags without the notch would fit, but were tight (~.010" larger F-R), and won't drop free.
