  1. My G17 Gen 4 is a late model with the latest RSA and ejector but was throwing cases into my face no matter what I did to adjust the loads. I sent it back to Glock under warranty and they replaced the extractor. Over 1500 rounds since without a problem. Bob W
  2. After FTF's and much brass to the face I returned my G17 to Glock. It already had the latest RSA and ejector. They replaced the extractor and returned it within two weeks. Since then I have put over 1500 rounds thru it with no problems. I feel confident now that I can depend on it for a carry piece. Bob W
  3. Got a 215 to go with Sivigny comp on the rear and it shoots a little high for me but I'm afraid 245 would be too much. Guess I'll have to live with it. Won't have to worry about it for a while as it's going back to Glock to hopefully to eliminate brass to my face. Bob W
  4. Don't know about that. Bought a Jager RSA and spring and got more brass in the face than stock. Gen 4 17. Bob W
  5. Here is a photo of the new Match. Bob Westgate
  6. Picked up my new 45 cal Match today and guess what! They now have a Picatinny rail. This may be a good thing for folks who like to hang things on their guns but now they do not fit holsters made for the match. But shooting was a joy. Put factory 230 grain ball, reloads of 230 Grain JHP, 185 grain JHP and 200 grain lead SWC's. All shot great with the only problem being that the magazines did not like the lead bullets. They would hang up and not feed. Recoil was a non-issue. Felt like I was shooting a 9. Accuracy with all rounds was better than I expected with the first 10 rounds with the factory ball was one ragged hole at 20 feet. All in all, I couldn't be happier with the Match. Looking forward to putting a lot of rounds down range. Bob Westgate
  7. Hi Bob I have been using 200gr H&G68's since I got my .45 many years ago. I did initially have some issues but found that if I loaded the projectile slightly long so that the base of the projectile is sitting outside the case mouth slightly, rather than being flush with the case mouth, this aided in feeding and I have not had any problems since. Thanks for that, you give me hope that I will be able to use all the 45 I have loaded. I load my H&G to a 2.30 overall so hopefully they will work in my Tanfo. I should find out today. Bob
  8. Thanks for the replies. Does anyone have any favorite reloads for a 45cal Match? What lead bullets feed properly? Like to use something in the 185-200G range. I understand my 200G H&G68 will not feed properly but I would like to use lead bullets basically to save money. Thanks in advance. Bob Westgate
  9. My vote is for XS type sights. Have them on all my other guns and nothing beats them for defensive shooting. Bob Westgate
  10. I would say everyone's experience is different, but my limited is doing just fine with them, I have about 3k through mine and no concerns with pressure or leading. I have not grouped lead ammo, but it is good enough to drop a popper at 45 yds. Lee Thanks Lee, I have been using 200 Grain H&G 68's in my 1911's for many years and would like to use them when my Match arrives. I've heard Glock's don't handle lead because of the polygonal barrel so I was worried I couldn't use them on the EAA. Bob Westgate
  11. How does the Polygonal barrel handle lead reloads? Bob Westgate Witness Match 45 ACP
