i have to give them a ring, i'm looking for a southern california dealer. know anyone?
Yep, a gentleman by the name of Hawk sells them at the Raahauge's Shooting Range in Corona, CA. Very nice guy and usually has a good supply. Might as well catch a uspsa match there to if you are making the trip. Every Saturday at around 9am.

I have gotten emergency rations at the Stockade in Westminster. http://www.fowler-stockade.com/ They do have a fairly wide variety but the prices are not cheap.
Good luck,
Chuck
Just following up on this for anyone who may search for Solo1000 in the future - Fowlers in Orange County did indeed have Solo1000. Was about $19.00 per 12 oz. Thanks again to Chuck!

Thank you Chuck, just put them on my list.

Turners outdoors has solo 1000
Thank you very much man, I will give them a ring. I had no idea they carried powders.
Cheers!

Just wondering if anyone has had any luck finding Solo100 in the Los Angeles are.
Thanks!

Thanks for the info! Your write-ups have been excellent.

Montana Gold and Zero's are the most popular as far as I know. Zero's are hard to find in stock sometimes.
Define reasonable cost too. Have you considered moly coated to save a little money?
-
Yeah, the metal on the inside of the body that limits the capacity gets in the way of the floor plate. Jones technique will work well.

Hi Duke,
For my Glock 9mm's (including a G19) I have found my OAL sweet spot to be right around 1.140". I am using 124gr MGB over Titegroup as well.
That said, I have loaded out to 1.160" with no problems in my 9mm Glocks also. 1.140" just puts me at a good power factor and works 100% in my guns.
-
You are on the edge of being too long.
Try 1.135 as the oal, with your same load.
I have found this OAL to be ideal for my G34. 1.135-1.140" seems like the sweet spot. Fits in mags, produces good burns, feeds 100%.

Great read, thanks!

I paid with a credit card and got confirmation right away
Same here.
I also received my invitation packet in the mail this morning as well.

I started with 231 in 124gr. 9mm. It felt nice and was accurate for me, but was just very messy. I would not really care about the messiness except the grit kept getting in the trigger/connector area and made my trigger feel like shit a fee stages into a match.
I have since moved onto Titegroup. I know you are not a fan, but I find it to be a great powder.

If I recall correctly...
4.2g of TG. Same OAL with Zero 124FMJ and Federal SP gave me ~ 137-138 at the chrono station at the Ohio match. That was in my G34, factory barrel.
Had them run my G26 with the same ammo and it made ~ 128-129
Would be awesome to see someone roll into Production with a G26. Just saying...think about it

Shooting too close to it can cause some crazy numbers too. Make sure you are far enough away from it that it is reading the bullet and not the gasses and powder debris .

I have searched and searched, and have not found an option to get decent sight system on my beretta 92fs.
I want to have something similar to the sevigney sights on my glocks, thin front fiber optic, and wide rear black serrated,
the front sight is part of the slide, would it be possible to mill flat and weld a front sight that accepts fiber optic rod? and still be production legal?
is it too thin to mill dovetail?
I see LPA has a front sight that lays over the existing front sight, that is pinned on, could this be modified to accept fiber?
thanks
Jason
I know the 92 Elite models have dovetailed front sights so it should be possible to do with the standard 92. Whether it would still be Production Div legal is a great question.

Thanks. I shoot 4 gr TITEGROUP out of a g17, and always wondered if it was making pf. Even with the slightly shorter barrel the G17, I should still be good.
No problem, glad it helped. I would think you would be comfortably in above minor PF with the G17. Always good to check your loads though if you plan on shooting any major matches. Temperature, elevation, barrel speed and all that stuff can make a difference.

Just wanted to throw this into the mix incase someone is looking for chrono data for similar loads.

Now there's an idea! I might try that.
I recently switched from a CR Speed to a Ghost and I've noticed this too. The simplest thing is certainly to remove the silly round thing, which I will do with mine as soon as I order the shorter screw that I'll need.
But I've been kicking around another idea that someone with more tools and skill might be interested in trying. It just so happens that the screws that mount the CR Speed holster body to its hanger, and the screws that mount the Ghost holster body to its hanger, are the same size (M6). So if you took a small aluminum plate, around .200" to .250" thick, and drilled three 6mm holes in it, with the spacing between the first and second equal to the spacing on the CR hanger, and the spacing between the second and third equal to the spacing on the Ghost body, you could then mount the Ghost holster body to the (superior, IMO) CR hanger.
+1 for taking the round bumper off. It serves no purpose for me other than annoying my leg.

The bases are VERY secure. It is not a concern.
The problem I did have with the Arredondo's is they failed to seat with my Dawson ICE magwell. From what I have read this is not a universal problem. Many people run this combination with no problem at all, unfortunately I did not. I switched to Dawson basepads and they of course work perfectly with the Dawson magwell.
Other that the seating issue, the Arredondo's are very nice and well built.

Definitely believe shooting with great shooters will make you better. I also believe hanging out with ugly people makes me more handsome.

Have not tried the Rhino camera, but it does look pretty good. I would only wonder if it messes with your sight line at all if you wear your hat a bit lower. I use a Contour HD mounted on the brim of my hat and it stays out of the way while giving a pretty nice POV angle. Some may think it is too bulky, but I forget it's their after I put it on for the day (with a fairly tight hat on of course).
Edited to add: I will note I have to adjust my hat when shooting rifle and shotgun to get a good POV shot. If I keep it on straight the alignment is off, the Rhino camera would probably share this problem. The Eyewear cameras would probably remedy this, but the quality os lacking in my opinion.

Hey there
Hodgdon Data (http://www.hodgdon.com/basic-manual-inquiry.html)shows 4.7 as the starting load and 5.1 max for a 115 gr FMJ projectile. I would bump your charge up by .1 or .2 and see how that works. If it doesn't cycle by 5.0, come back and see us
You can always throw in a lighter recoil spring also if you want to stay at 4.7gr.
$1200 to buy a NON Glock?

I will echo the 1911 suggestions. Every gun enthusiast should own one. Fun to shoot, versatile for many competition circuits and it's classic americana!
I settled on a Kimber Custom II (their base model) and it is an excellent pistol. Zero problems to date. Fpr 1200.00 though, you could look at some higher end 1911's. Good luck in your search
