  1. I'd be there if it wasn't for work. The weekend before or after I wouldn't have had a conflict.
  2. Wolfe shot lights out and deserved the win. Congratulations to Rich from Team Bubber
  3. We shot the standards this morning as our last stage. It went very well. The R.O. staff did a great job using overlays as necessary. Very impressed.
  4. Well hmg you sound like a real fun RO to have on the range based upon those comments. I don't know if you were referring to my post or someone else's or just making a blind statement but it is very possible to have a shot land side by side and create a hole that could appear to be an elongated hole. With the speeds required for the far and near it is doubtful it will be intentional. I have shot turning targets for annual qualifications for more than a decade. It is possible to have a skidder on a turning target. It is also possible to have bullets share some part of the same hole. On the other hand I have witnessed shooters argue that they have a perfect double in a delta ring when clearly it is a single hole, but that's why we have overlays and rules. Rules that need to be followed and not created in spite of a rule book of an organization. I will try my best on the far and near, I will observe the scoring of my targets. If I miss then I miss but if I hit I expect to received a proper score.
  5. Why wouldn't the round count be posted on the ICORE website?
  6. I saw he was shooting. But we are headed to the IRC this week. Since they moved the Arkansas match to the weekend before the IRC it has made it impossible for us to attend.
  7. Mike I had questions about the up range surrender start for standing shooters. The stage is very accuracy driven as well as speed. I have worked on it. I hope I do well. I will definitely be watching my score on that stage.
  8. As i read through this thread I noticed a question that wasn't answered ICORE rule 6.1.5 allows the x ring to be a tie breaker or bonus zone.
  9. I'm thinking I shot this match in April a few years ago and the weather sucked then as well. I don't know if November would be any better but it wouldn't be hot. I know my revo squad would be there if it didn't conflict with the IRC.
  10. I understood your comparison. I was making a statement towards the topic. I don't believe special rules put in place by a stage description would overshadow the rules established by the governing body. Meaning giving the shooter the lower hit or a mike if it was too long of a hole when the rules clearly state otherwise.
  11. I think we need to follow the ICORE rule book when it comes to ICORE matches. We can not circumvent the rules in stage descriptions. If we do why do we have rules at all? When it comes to how to score a target specifically 6.5.4 which says you will get the higher hit. The rule book doesn't address an elongated hole so as far as I am concerned if there is a grease ring on the scoring side of a target you should be scored a hit.
  12. There are a lot of butt hurt people. I didn't get in last year. No big deal. I got in this year by chance, I'm excited.
  13. Well this way you don't have to depend on the postal service to get in line for the match.
  14. It is discouraging being unrecognized when you pay the same as the other divisions even if there were less that the required number of shooters.
  15. Chuck, I can see arguments for both sides. Are we going to do the same for L-10 to increase participation? As a revolver shooter it stinks when there isn’t enough in your division to be recognized. Even if there is enough in the division there may not be enough in your class. Are we going to waive that requirement too? Might as well give everyone a trophy and a pat on the head. I still feel strongly for a special category for top 6 shot award. This will hopefully bring a few more of the holdouts over to play. I heard from one of my forum members yesterday that said he didn’t come to nationals because his 929 didn’t come in. he still owns a 625 and likely would have come support the match if it was at least recognized. Having just finished a major last weekend in second place just 18 points behind the match winner (best performance of my revolver career) I know the feeling of walking away empty handed. But there was only 1 other master and in the great words of Ricky Bobby.. if you ain’t first you’re last… I know that I have to put in more work for the next match. I don’t agree with lowering the participation standards but it should be left up to the discretion of the MD…
  16. https://www.practiscore.com/results.php?uuid=b894cd88-bfe3-4b23-9c1a-ecde84ed8cec
  17. 11 revo shooters at the Mississippi classic (more than L10)
  18. But if you notice it happens in all divisions at nationals.
  19. OK, I would have been interested in magazine manufacturer. Thanks for the reply.
  20. I sent an email to my AD with the simple request to have a new special category of high 6 shooter. He advised he would explore the idea. That way the people that don't want to invest in a new gun but still want to compete will have something to strive for.
