  1. any idea what the schedule is going to be? I would have to fly in friday and out on sunday. It's pretty difficult to take off during the school year.
  2. I remember the world shoot BS uspsa pulled. They supported all the other divisions but revolver. If I remember correctly didn't Bob Purdue step up for the revolver team? Still uspsa treated the division like a red headed step child. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  3. That 0700 will be pretty early depending on how much of the high point beer you consume that I'm bringing with me. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  4. I don't mind the 2011 grip nor the 1911 grip. They advertise 1.1 oz. Do they cover the front strap? Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  5. The RO made it back from the gunsmith with all new egw parts... Now I have to find a lightweight grip/magwell combo to stay under the 43oz limit uspsa imposes on single stack.
  6. I bought a stainless steel 9mm range officer last Friday and it went straight to the gun Smith. It says41 oz...I imagine the operator is heavier. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  7. Well I am no longer the rules director and no longer associated with their board of directors but at the time this came out the information available showed idpa was doing away with ESR. There was some information that they were going to abandon revolver all together. Obviously some changes were made in idpa but it is apparent if you chose to shoot idpa there is still a place for the 625. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  8. Revolver is on Thursday Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  9. There isn't any in the postal match but it isn't supposed to be anything but a fun thing.
  10. If you don't think an 8 shot is an advantage in icore I'm going out on a limb and say you don't shoot regional matches.
  11. As Rules director of ICORE you are assuming mostly correct.. 6 shot neutral means no obvious advantage for the 8 shot gun. We all know there are advantages of higher capacities but if more than 8 shots or 6 or less shots are required in an array you are 6 shot neutral. The exact same number of reloads are up to you as the course designer/match director. If you require some movement reloads become less important.
  12. Stage 7 from the southwest was the epitome of 6 neutral. It had 2 stars, two 6 shot plate racks and 4 paper targets. You had to move around the fault line to see everything. 10/10/10 from each place I shot.
  13. I just shot the southwest regional. I shot classic division so I obviously was limited to 6 rounds. The stage design was very good and for the most part 6 round neutral. There were a few stages the 8 shot had a definite advantage on. It's really hard to avoid the 8 advantage and use innovative stage design. The 6 neutral stage design isn't keeping people out of ICORE anymore than 8 shot stage design is keeping people from shooting USPSA. You can have stages that have 6 rounds per array but that isn't the true spirit behind 6 round neutral. The easiest way for this discussion is to post up examples.
  14. Mike. Practiscore didn't ask what division I was shooting. Only my classification.
  15. both ideas have been submitted to the board. one as a special recognized category in both limited and open and one as a stand alone division. we will have a vote in the july meeting. will either really bring more people to shoot revolver? nope. i agree completely with you... either you shoot revolver or you don't.... but what it could do is spark some interest in the crowd that doesn't want to buy the 8 shot gun, or as a special category those that want bragging rights because they did it with fewer rounds. i think it would be a good idea to send an icore shooting team to both of the other events to spark interest. im not sure if the other organisations would care or not. free entries is always a good plan as well. i don't agree with the trophy match for the international championship. most regional matches are little more than that... don't want a big prize table than by all means attend a lesser match. if you really want to help icore grown contact your regional rep and let them know your thoughts. posting on enos may not get the coverage you would like and more than likely won't provide you with the same amount of feedback as an email will. thanks chris
  16. I don't see a problem with it. Its that or a slot system either way it gives the section members a better chance to shoot their sections match.
  17. Greg has an early 929 so it may not be the same as the later ones. I know of a fee that have been checked by gunsmiths and they are not 9mm barrels or cylinders. They are all recent production guns. The early ones might be .355's.
  18. anything that happens will be effective Jan 1 2016. I am working on finalizing the information now and providing it to the BOD for consideration.
