  1. Checked the manual and didn't find anything on disabling the auto-shutdown. You need to call Contour on Monday and see if there is a way to disable this feature. Good luck. I hate it when someone makes a feature that can't be disabled.Further research indicates this feature was hard-wired into the camera to save battery life and cannot be disabled: http://support.conto...ut_off_override
  2. Tripp does make some basepads for pistols with magwells. Not sure if you already have these.
  3. Are there published loads using 4756 with 9x23?
  4. I was looking at some loads for 9x23 and WAP seems to be a popular choice but I guess Winchester is no longer making WAP. Do they have another similar powder? So after using Google it appears that WAP is now Silhouette made by Ramshot. For those of you who used WAP before it was discontinued, is Silhouette the same as WAP? Can I use the same loads for Silhouette that were originally for WAP?
  5. So why is the brass a "pain"? As far as being available I haven't had any problems finding it so far.
  6. Is 9x23 ammunition legal to use in Open? If yes, how widely is it used? Pros and cons? Thanks
  7. The Lee Pro Disc Powder measure container is small relatively speaking-needs filling a lot more often than a Dillon. Wonder why Lee never made a larger container? Has any other company made a larger after-market container for the Lee?
  8. I have been given to understand that Dawson Precision will be manufacturing an improved version of the front black serrated sights that were previously available for the Shadow. They are supposed to be available in about two weeks. CGW will be getting some of these sights so if you want one get in touch with CGW.
  9. Agree. I have a light shining right into the cases and rely on my eyesight. I got rid of my powder checker.
  10. I don't think so. Until the IDPA makes a rule stating that .45 ACP and .40 S&W are not legal for SSP both calibers shoud be good. Of course, that's my opinion and YMMV
  11. So what is the disadvantage to using MIM parts? What was used before MIM parts became universal? I take it it all comes down to cost?
  12. Is anyone making a black serrated front sight for the CZ 85 Combat? Thanks
  13. So what was the SD? The high fps shots appear to be the exception out of the 6" barrel.
  14. Is it this Suncoast: http://www.suncoastcasino.com/whats-new/packages/summer-vegas-fun?cmpid=ppc_ggl_hot_sch_suncoast&s_kwcid=TC|17711|suncoast||S|b|11744661963 If so it's a typical Las Vegas Casino Hotel
  15. Since I recently purchased a 5" 625 my answer is yes
  16. In most of the Academy's I have visited the guns have locks on the triggers and no dry firing is allowed. Looks like this salesman violated store policy by removing the lock.
  17. I used a Loadmaster for about 2 years before I graduated to Dillon. Press is strong but needs a lot of babying-always having to adjust this or that.
  18. The Ruger Speed Six 9mm w/4" barrels are extremely difficult to find and those that have them don't want to sell even for a premium price-ask me. I was able to find the Speed Six 9mm with the 2 3/4" barrel.
  19. This is a link to the belt offered by Vega Holsters: http://www.vegaholster.it/schedaprodotto.aspx?CategoriaID=4&SottoCategoriaID=25&pageIndex=0&ProdottoID=360&Lang=eng
  20. Your left foot should be a little forward of your right foot-would do a lot to firm up your stance so you wouldn't feel like you are falling backwards with the recoil.
  21. I recently shot the SP101 9mm in a local BUG match and was advised by the Match Director that a moon-clipped revolver was against the IDPA rules for a BUG Match. What the H*ll!! Whatever!! Note: This is not an easy gun to shoot DA-recoil is more than I thought it would be!!!
  22. Center of Mass made the inner belt with a buckle but still uses velcro for attachment. I use one and like it because I can tighten it as tight as I want it. Just checked the website-don't see the belt offered anymore-I heard he was having problems with his supplier. Here's his contact info: Center of Mass 894 N. Hwy. 91 Firth, ID 83236 (866) 293-1002 rick@comholsters.com
  23. I would tighten it up at least to .376/378. Could be that no crimp is causing the tumbling. Also no crimp could mean you could get some bullet setback. Also could be your barrel doesn't like the BC 135's. You might try some fmj/cmj's like Montana Gold and see how they work out with your barrel.
