Just an update, I actually am getting a Kimber custom royal-it is a Jon Merricks Special! and also am training with Matt Burkett this month---so if that doesnt get me out of D class--Nuthing Will!--thanks for all the info on purchasing a 1911---

I am looking for a FFL to receive a gun in or around tempe, az. I have been told by some dealers that the gun had to be sent by another FFL holder, which means that I would need two FFL's and some seem to be operating out of there garage, while others like Caswells want 40$ for the transfer. Any ideas?, should i just pay the 40$ to Caswells, the prices for a transfer seem to range from 15-40$.

looks like i will be training with matt soon, so i will be training after all. I called gordon at big bore, he said he couldnt get a 70's series kimber classic, so i will check some other locals to see if they have some.

if i was to get some private lessond in east phoenix, where can i find some privates that arent too pricey. I looked at matt's site and his prices are a bit steep for me.

I checked out all the guns including the trojan, I am leaning towards a kimber classic until I get to to b class, right now I am at the bottom of d. so it may be a while. I am going to buy brian's book and keep watching matt's video, and maybe dry fire once or twice :-) and see if that helps. If I win the lottery, I may get some private lessons too :-)

i like the trojan alot, is there a place i can find a used trojan, i dont see many sti's on any auction sites

I checked out ipscchik's link, those are some serious guns! It say with the dawson para I can shoot idpa, is that true, It would seem that I would at least have to take off the magwell.

hey carlos, what shop do you work at, hopefully in az, and what are the kimber custom classics running there?

my last question was in reply to ipsc chik1's post I also had another question. the dawson gun, is that a double stack as well.
