Hello I'm a big fan of the M&P line but the inacuracy is a big problem. So i did a lot of tests and i really think that the M&P can be accurate with the correct load but completly inacurate with some ! I have 7 M&P with older and new barrel and i have the same result in all Here the last test i did (25 meter) ! Marc

Hello I have basically the same results but i can have a really good group with some 124gr FP with Frontier 124 Gr RN the best groups is 6" but with the FP i can have 2" at 25 yards Marc

hello from my personal experience. The M&P 9mm (4,25 OR 5") have a good precision, but they are very ammo sensitive...i can have groups from +6" to -2" at 25 yards I did the test on 7 M&P with the same results good in all with some ammunition and really bad with some others of course there's some variations between guns, but when i have the correct ammunition, the groups are correct in all the 7 guns i have used for the test ! Hello. Thank you for you reply, actually i have all the tools for working on my pistols (Jig, Hammer file, etc...). Like explained it's difficult to find a good armorer for 1911-2011 platform, so i would like to find by myself a solution! Now on my 1911 i'm working with new parts for testing, i cut the hammer hook to 90° (but i don't modify the widht 0.022), modify the primary angle of the sear with a positive engagement (checking with external pin from Brownells)and cut a small secondary angle like on the second picture. Now after adjusting the sear spring, i have a 3" trigger weight i feel a small creep only when i push very slowly my trigger and the hammer must slightly raise in this case. One interesting think is that i need more presure on the left leaf of the sear spring with this engagement to keep the same overall trigger weight. So this afternoon, i did some tests, and apparently i don't have any more problems (100 Rnds) but i need more tests Marc

Hello I'm living in Belgium and i have some questions about the correct hammer/sear engagement, in my country unfortunately the country is so small and the gun's law is very restrictive because of that it's impossible to find a correct armorer for working on 1911/2011 platform I know i need the hammer hook must be cut to 90° - 0,020 widht But about the correct cut of the primary angle i found différent informations (see picture below) My specific problem that's my hammer fall to half cock only when i try to shoot really fast splits and i have this specific problem basically with all the 1911/2011 i use ! I have this problem wih my S&W PC1911 and my STI Edge (completly out of the box) i have replaced the internals parts with SVI parts with the same results, so now i think it's time to search a solution by myself about this problem. For example i have sell my STI Edge at a friend, he shoot with this guns since 2 years without any problem, and recently i shoot with itl and i have experienced one more time some hammer follow In advance thanks and sorry for my English Marc

You can expect 2" with the correct ammo In my M&P pro i have the same result, it's not possible to have a good group after 15 yards with the S&B. With some amunition it's difficult to have a better group than 8" but with some others you can manage sub 2" At the IPSC World shoot i have talked with Angus Hobdell (the CZ guys) about that and for him the problem is coming from a early unlocking of the Barrel !? Hello Like i have already stated in another post i have the same problem with my M&P pro. I did a lot of test (and this time with a ramson rest) and now i have found some conclusions but unfortunately there's not a lot of ammunition's available in my country and it's difficult to test a large panel of ammunitions 1) the gun is totally innacurate with all the FMJ i have tried (factory or reload) except with the GECCO factory 124 gr but the PF is +140 2) I have very good results with all the flat points bullets profile i have tested (Frontier 124gr, Frontier 147gr, S&B 140 Gr Factory) less than 2" at 25 meters. One more think i did theses tests in three differents guns (2 M&P Pro and 1 L)with the same results so i think it's more a barrel twist problem. Hope this help Marc

Hello, I did some news test but unfortunatly i don't have anymore the cartridges with really bad results (more than 8") I try at 25 meter (27,3 yards) offhand with my Tanfoglio Stock 3 & M&P pro i shoot 8 rounds and i have removed the bad one You can find in this picture the results

You are not insulting me... the first mistakes are coming from the shooter And in the first time i'm really thinking that..... i did a lot of test and i have always the same result good group with some ammunitions and really bad groups with others.... There's a classification in IPSC (but not really used) but all i can reply is that i'm a production shooter (if i follow the classification in my country i'm GM, and i shoot M score usualy on IPSC level 3 matchs in Europe). I have used in the past some production guns (Cz, Glock, K100/GP6, Sig) and like you know no trigger modification is allowed in IPSC production division and don't have any problem to be accurate with theses guns... Like i have previously stated i can manage good group with some ammunitions but with some others it's really really Bad!! Like example i can manage offhand 4" with the frontier 124 Gr at 133 PF (see Attached file)or the S&B factory 140. Because of this inacuracy i have switched to the Tanfoglio Stock 3 and the worst group offhand with the same ammunition are 4" I test the same ammunitions in my Glock 17 Gen4 and my K100/Gp6 with good result too !! Hello I have the same problem with my M&p 5"Pro 9mm, with factory and relaod amunition my group is +- 8-9 inch i test the same ammunition with another M&P pro 9mm and i have the same result In our country there's not a lot of ammunitions/bullets choice availlable but i can manage some really good groups with tronconic bullets profil. Factory : S&B 115 Gr FMJ 11" S&B 124 Gr RN 8" S&B 140 Gr TC 3" Gecco 124 Gr RN 4" Reload : Berrys 124 Gr RN 9" Frontier 124 Gr RN 7" Frontier 124 Gr TC 2" Frontier 147 Gr TC 3" Ps : Sorry for my English....
