  1. Jakers, Stag Arms by all indications is a reputable company. There is something called an implied warranty where a company has an inherited responsibility for the usefulness of its products. But anyway the argument that you are trying to present for the sake of argument is not applicable. Stag Arms stands behind their product period.

  2. The Stag Arms 3 Gun rifle is a great rifle. Its trigger is second to none. I also removed the Stag Arms Super Comp and temporarily installed a Titan and what an experience. Granted the Titan is uncomfortably noisy and its gases hit shooters standing near you in the face but it is effective in controlling felt & lift recoil. I was told by Stag Arms' customer service that they have fixed their comp and the new one is effective etc.

The point that I have been trying to make is that Stag Arms should do whatever it takes to produce an effective compensator for their 3 gun AR-15. And I have faith in Stag Arms and believe that this is what they have done for it would be a crime to market such an excellent rifle with an ineffective comp. Once they come out with the new comp on the rifle the package will be so good for the price that no other rifle will be competitive.

  3. Nothing is free when you pay almost $ 1,500. Other than what I payed for the rifle I have no financial interest but it sounds as if you possibly do. It is what it is and we have to agree to disagree..... I will definitely replace the comp. I have several AR's with different comps. It is such an excellent rifle that it is worth the time and expense of replacing the comp. The point that I have been trying to make is that the comp as it is takes away from the overall product. Other manufacturers selling 3 gun AR's provide effective comps with their rifles. I would have payed more than what I payed for the rifle for it to bring an effective comp. And when Stag Arms makes needed changes it will be a no brainer that it's be the best 3 gun AR in the price range. I am a Stag Arms fan and this should be taken as constructive criticism !

  4. You have your opinion and I will keep mine if you do not mind. The ineffective and flawed comp ruined and otherwise pleasant experience of shooting an excellent rifle. The overwhelming consensus opinion is that the Stag 3 Gun Super Comp is ineffective and flawed. You can read on different forums how customers are dissatisfied with the Stag Arms 3 Gun Super Comp. It is not a secret nor my opinion alone. And I think that a company should stand behind what it sells. I definitely choose not to do business with a company that does not stand behind what it sells. All this being said I made it clear that all indications are that Stag Arms does stand behind its products and is going to do the right thing and replace the defective product. And as soon as they do I will be the first one to write about it. But until they replace the original Stag Arms 3 Gun Super Comp I will be one unhappy customer.

  5. I definitely will let you know how Stag & Arms treats me as far as my returned Stag Arms 3 Gun Super Comp. It is defective in that it is useless. But all indications from talking to Stag Arms customer department on the telephone is that they stand behind their products and will do me right. I have no reason to think otherwise. They promised that they were going to send me a new ( effective ) modified comp. If they keep their promise I will give them future business. Their 3 Gun AR-15's are definitely excellent other than the comp.

Replacement compensators that I would recommend # 1, Titan and # 2, Spikes,. I have both of these on AR's and they are effective. The Titan is the flattest but a little noisy.

  6. An otherwise excellent AR is destroyed by the use of the inferior Stag Arms Super 3 Gun comp. I cannot understand why they use this ineffective and far inferior comp. Stag Arms has otherwise put together a superior AR far better than anything else out there in the price range. The comp/muzzle brake is screwed on with loctite. You can apply heat and it will screw off easily.

A good comp will move slightly within the target in a small circular motion allowing a quick and accurate second shot. The Stag Arms 3 Gun comp will take you off or almost off the lower right portion of the target slowing the second shot considerably.

Reviews of the Stag Arms Super 3 Gun comp including one done by an expert writer for a national publication agree with above. This unsatisfied and unhappy customer returned my Stag Arms Super 3 Gun comp to customer service and am hoping that they stand behind their product and do me right !

  7. The Stag Arms 3 Gun competition rifle is an excellent rifle. The Geissele S3G trigger has to be the very best trigger on the market. And the Sampson 15-inch Evolution handguard is light and comfortabele. However the Stag 3Gun Super Comp makes the rifle very uncomfortable to shoot. It pushes the barrel down and to the right making the rifle difficult to control. This comp is simply not effective in reducing felt recoil and muzzle rise. Stag Arms has to redesign this muzzle brake or use one of the many effective ones available on the market. But comp aside it is a much better product than the DPMS Panther 3-G1.

  8. i would have been happy with barrel dip. didn't happen. got muzzle flip. switched to a titan.

it is amazingly accurate! what negative reviews?

Is your Stag Arms compensator new ( After modification ) ?

Go to Stag Arms web site and there you will find a video where the writer mentions a dip of the barrel. It is a writer for a major magazine. If you cannot find it there its on U-tube. There are also reviews in other forums that mention the dip of the barrel. And it is not very comforting to see Stag 3 Gun members on U-tube using compensators other that the Stag 3 Gun Comp !

I have tried several compensators. I presently have a Titan in my bag however I find it to be uncomfortably noisy. The BIG Talon is very good.

The new Spike compensator will surprise you ! It controls muzzle flip, felt recoil and noise.

All said and done the Stag Arms 3 Gun gun in the best thing out there for the money.

  9. After reading several reviews of the Stag Arms 3 Gun compensator stating that it pushes the barrel of the gun downward I am pessimistic of this compensator that comes with the Stag Arms 3 Gun Ar-15. I was told by Stag Arms customer service that the compensator was recently modified and the problem has been corrected but has anyone out there purchased the new & improved version and what is your evaluation. I will be receiving the rifle Tuesday and I am almost ready to change the compensator even before I shoot the rifle because of the negative reviews.......LOL !

Any an all information and opinions are appreciated.

  10. Stag 3 gun team members are # 1. They are diplomats for Stag products. However, Staqg Arms customer service employees leave a lot to be desired. They do not have a customer friendly & eager to help attitude. Hopefully the rifle is worth putting up with them.My Stag 3 gun arrives Tuesday. I think that it is the best AR for the $ out there. The only question is regarding the muzzle brake. All the videos on U-tube show Stag 3 G team members using other muzzle brakes. And reviews state that the Stag brake causes the barrel to dip. Hopefully they have made modifications to correct this. Go ahead and take the plunge and buy the Stag 3 G. Good luck.

  11. DMC my Stag 3 G should be arriving Saturday or Monday. I will then be able to answer your question much better. However, to me saving $ 200.00 is not worth the work and aggravation involved in building an AR. And remember that there are tools that you must also buy. From the demand of the rifle and what I have heard the rifle is worth every penny. I compared it to everything out there. The only question that I had was concerning the muzzle brake. However, I was told by Stag Arms 'customer service' that the muzzle brake has been modified to correct the downward dip of the barrel. The wait time after ordering the Stag 3 G AR-15 is approximately 3 to 3 1/2 weeks not the two weeks that they tell you. But then again there is a 5 months wait time for a DPMS 3 G. There is a 4 to 6 wee wait time on the Rainier carbine.

The only bad thing so far with Stag Arms that I do not like has been their customer service. They are not eager in being helpful or informative. It could be better, much better. But then again they might be under staffed and/or over worked.

Hopefully the end product ( Rifle ) will make the wait and dealing with their 'customer service' all worth it.

Please note that you have a Stag Team 3 gun team member that participates on this forum and is very helpful. He will take the time to answer your questions. Maybe he should get a job with Stag Arms customer service for he is very enthusiastic about the Stag 3 gun!

  12. I have been advised that the Stag Arms ( 1:8 ) 3 G favors the 69 gr. I have also been told that the 69 is a good all around ammo. I would like to start on the right foot. I want to know where to purchase the 69 gr in bulk so that I can save some money. I would especially like to hear from those that may own a Stag Arms 3 G. But again all of your opinions are appreciated. If there is any ammunition that I should stay away from by all means let me know also.

Again, all information is greatly appreciated !

  13. OK guys, like I said in earlier posts I am a AR-15 newbee. But I am eager to learn. Everyone talks about 69 gr ammunition being the best. Can you please tell me what manafacturer and where are the best deals to purchase in bulk.

New Stag Arms 3 G on its way............

Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.

  14. Of course I will shoot the rifle before making the decision to change comps. Or maybe I will not have to change comps. But I just want to hear what others that have the rifle/comp think of it. If there is a common denominator then I have to give it some thought. It just concerns me that I see Stag 3 gun team members using other comps.

  15. I recently purchased the Stag Arms 3 G AR-15 and it should be delivered this week. I would like to know about the new Stag Arms 3 G compensator that the rifle brings.I am concerned because the only evaluation of this compensator that I have read says that it causes the rifle to dip. In other words it pushes the barrel downward when fired. I do not know anyone who owns this rifle I just went by Stag Arms reputation and description of rifle. And all the videos that I see of Stag Arms 3 G team members shooting they are using different compensators. There has to be a reason for this. If there is a problem with the compensator I will just replace it.

Any and all information that you provide will be appreciated.

  16. I have tried the BattleComp and it gets beat by the new Spyke's muzzle brake in my opinion. They are both about equal in reducing felt recoil. The Spyke's is better in controlling muzzle rise. It should be noted that both of these muzzle brakes have similar design.

  17. Sees Target,

Try the new Spykes Muzzle break. I tried one and it surprised me. It reduces muzzle rise a lot and felt recoil a little. Over all it is one of the best. And it reduces noise considerably. It is as quiet as the BattleComp yet its more effective in reducing recoil. I compared it to my Titan which I have on one of AR's which is just a dot flatter but a lot noisier. I also compared it to other major ones and when all things were considered it was the best choice. I was very dissapointed in others that I tried that are very popular yet ineffective. These others are just expensive paper weights.

  18. Kalani,

It is very thoughtful of you to take the time and respond to my post. Being new to the AR-15 family I have too many questions to ask you. I am just trying to learn as much as I can so that I can head in the right direction. As far as equipment I just want to get it right the first time so that I do not have to waste money and purchase the same thing twice. It just so happens that I have a new Titan laying around. My next tough decision will be choosing an optic. I would like to keep it under $ 1,000.

I cannot wait to receive my new rifle.......everything is laying on the floor next to the door waiting to go to the range !

  19. I reaklly appreciate all your comments. I should be receiving the rifle in approximately a week. From the pictures that were posted either the gun is good or you guys are excellent shooters ( Probably a combination of the two ).

I have heard that the compensator is maybe to effective and causes the rifle to dip. I also see that the Stag 3 gun team also uses the Titan Brake. Any thoughts about this ?

  20. Though I own it I have been known to throw inferior quality items away.................

I just have not heard of this barrel manufacturer. Subsequently I need to find out how good or how bad it really is. I assume and hope that since it is a heavy S/S and flutted that it is of good quality. Maybe I should just go out and shoot it when I receive it.....LOL ! Anyway I do appreciate your respose.

Again, any and all information will be appreciated.

  21. Just ordered a Stag-Arms 3 gun AR-15. The rifle comes with a heavy S/S fluted barrel. I am not familiar with these barrels. Is this particular barrel factory grade or an upgraded barrel ? I would appreciate any and all information since I do not know anything about these barrels.
