Lots of shooters are formulating their opinions on ' back in the day ' and/or on what others have to say. I suggest that you buy one or borrow a friend's Sprinco, make sure that you have the right spring for the caliber/ load and go and shoot. After you do this you will be better capable of rendering an opinion. I have to confess that I was living ' back in in the day ' myself. And after I tried a friend's Glock 35 with a Sprinco my opinion changed. The gun performed better that my STI 6 inch Eagle.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT; There must be a reason why so many gun manufacturers are going to the double spring recoil system.

Which are the better persons to send my Glock to have stippling work done on the grip ? Are there any good ones in South Florida that do not have a long waiting list ?
-
It seems to me that most negative opinions on the Sprinco are based on experiences from ' back in the day '. Back in the day Sprincos were different. Guns and ammunition were also much different. They have since made significant improvements to the Sprinco. They now have a different owner. . Have an open mind and try one out. I recently tried a friend's Glock 35 with a Sprinco and liked it so much that I will be putting my STI Eagle on the shelf and shooting my new Glock platform. This comes from an individual who had Sprincos back in the day and did not like them. Besides check out their 100% guarantee......you cannot go wrong !

I would like to get a Blade-tech holster for my Glock 35 for limited class. There are so many options..................I would like to know which specific model is better.

I am confused. Now I am not sure that I installed the ring on my G 35 Gen 4 in the right place. Could someone please provide a picture of a G 35 gen 4 with the ring installed.
-
I just purchased a model 35 gen 4 and have to get rid of the double recoil spring. Is anyone using the Zev 4th gen guiderod reducer ring on their 35 gen 4 and can you post a picture as to proper installation.

I just bought a Glock 35 and would like to change the factory sights. I would like a fiber optic front (# 100 ) sight and an adjustable all black rear ( #156 )sight. Of course I would like the brightest # 100 possible for the front. My Remington Enhanced model 1911 has a beautiful F/O front but I do not know its manufacturer. Any and all recommendations, advice and information will be appreciated.

Militec - 1 in my opinion is the very best. It was formulated for the troops in the middle East. Not only does it lubricate well but it also keeps your weapon cleaner.

Planning on getting a second 45. I would like your opinions on a STI Range Master versus the SA TRP. First of all which is a better gun and which gives you more for your money ? Second, which one retains value better ? Any and all information that you provide will be greatly appreciated.

Odorless mineral spirit to clean and then Militec-1oil . You might want to spray her favorite perfume in the room about this time without her seeing you and then ask her how she likes the smell.....LOL ! Seriously, try odorless mineral spirit. This is what is used to clean racing car parts.

I have several 1911 and Glock pistols. I would like to know if there is one sight adjustment tool for the rear sight of both types or if I should get one for each. Either way I would like your recommendation(s) of which one to get. Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.

I am considering competing in single stack. I have always shot limited and production. Could someone shed some light in my direction as to major differences such as maximum number of rounds in the magazine etc.

Recommend the Futuristic holster sold by Universal Shooting Academy for USPSA look no further ! It is simply the best. I have 3 of the popular holsters and this one is superior ( Design, quality, material etc ) every way that you look at it.

I already have my baby for competition, an STI 6" Eagle in 40. Now I want a 1911 in 45 for fun, home defense etc that will not break the bank. My friend has both a Springfield and a Remington. He has worked on the Springfield and it could not be any better. It just can't ! Yet the Remington is excellent right out of the box. I want you to make a case for either and make my choice easier..............
Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.

Remington 1911 Enhanced model 45 if you do not want to spend big bucks on an STI. It retails for around $ 800 and will out perform Kimbers in my opinion. You might have to work on the ramp but otherwise ready to rock.

I just picked up my Glock 23 G 4. I have heard so many bad things about the plastic guide rod with double springs that it brings that I am wondering if I should upgrade it and to what. An option would be to a similar set up in steel. Another option would be to a regular non-captured guide rod. The gun will be for carry and home defense. I would like your opinions, suggestions and recommendations.

Manny is a gentleman. After not finding the optional insert on their web I forgot about it. And then when I remembered I sent them an E-mail requesting information. Manny threw one in the box and told me to drop a check for $ 25. This type of customer service is from the old days when you closed business deals with a hand shake.
A GM in our club swears by the hoster. He says that it gives him a competitive edge. Shooters that know him well say that he is drawing faster.
Happy shooting !

I did order the optional leg support for $ 25 and I am glad that I did. I never thought that I would say this but it is worth the price. It makes the holster more comfortable. And once again the material and workmanship is first class. The shooter on my club that has the holster had recommended that I purchase one.
Now if I can only find mag pouches comparable in design and quality !

Richard,
Send me am E-mail. This way it will be easier for me to take a picture with my I-phone and forward it. And at the same time it will not appear as if I am trying to promote the product for I have no financial interest what so ever..............
I only wish that there was a similar product in mag pouches. The closest thing that I know of are the JR Holster mag pouches.

I just received mine this weekend. It exceeded my expectations. It is simply the best holster avaialble. The futuristic design makes it the most comfortable and fastest holster. It can be adjusted in many ways to achieve the exact fit you want. It is also very secure once you place it in the holster. And the material and workmanship is second to none. It is sold by Universal Shooting Academy in Florida. It has to be the biggest secret for no marketing has been done to promote it that I know of. It is Inevitable that once the news about this holster spreads by word of mouth the price will shoot up. I recommend it without reservation.
Cons; I really do not think that it has any major problem. Once the gun sits in the holster it has a slight movement however it is very secure. I might like to see a larger locking knob but once you get use to the one it has its good enough.
Pros; How the holster works, design, material quality, etc., etc., etc.

I suggest that you try the Spike's Tactical T -1 and the T- 2 buffers. I find these to be excellent with T-2 being heavier. There are a lot of factors that determine which one is better for you. And shooting style is certainly a major factor. I presently have a Wolff reduced power action spring with a T - 2 on my carbine ( Carbine length gas tube ). This combination along with a Seekins muzzle brake works like a charm. I made my choice after trying many combinations. It doesn't get much better than this. However if I had to do over I would probably go with the mid length gas system for they say that it is a fraction smoother. I am afraid that with the later reliability is sacrificed.

The MSTN has my vote. It is more effective in reducing lift than the Miculek and 'quieter'. After trying some of the more popular ones I found the MSTN to be a close second to the Seekins muzzle brake. You get what you pay for. However the Miculek should not be denied for it also is much better than some of the more expensive and popular muzzle brakes. And for the price the Miculek is worth every penny.

Experience is priceless................and there is plenty of experience in this forum to benefit from. A newbee ( me included ) should listen to what experienced shooters have to say. You can usually conclude with a general opinion or denominator. Listen to experienced shooters who have bought, used and shot different AR's, components, furniture, barrels etc., etc., etc. Listen to their opinions and you will save lots of money and end up with an AR that you will be happier with. I purchased a Stagg 3G which is an excellent rifle with a lousy muzzle brake. After purchasing a half dozen muzzle brakes ended up with the Pri-Quiet. It was an excellent package but I decided after listening to others to build my own and now am happier. So you can say that I have been there and done that................
The best of luck to you.

Cha-Lee, this one of the best articles that I have ever read on any forum. It is very informative to say the least. It opened my eyes to things that I would otherwise not pay attention to. I want to thank you very much for taking the time to write it and then sharing it with us. I also am in the same situation being 59 with tired eyes etc. Can you find the time to recommend specific sights/manufacturer and E-mail the information please. Again, thank you..............................
