do the lights inside distract you at all as they are recording or do they distract you as you are getting ready to shoot the stage?

I run one without a racker. I have an old Hiett Technology C-More mount that I have to rack the slide from the front underneath the dustcover. If I were to have a gun built today I would have a racker installed. The only thing that may be a plus with my mount is that I rack it back, let go and go right into my grip instantly.

"speed" is also an amphetamine, which is an illigal drug used by college kids. I meant we all started USPSA so we could shoot fast and have fun doing it.

I think speed first. In my opinion someone that is trying to reasonably push it will actually see the sight picture faster than someone that is going for a perfect sight every shot. When you finally are able to see the sights at speed and know whether it was a a/c or d/miss then you can work on visual patience for accuracy. Then you will eventually know it was an A high left hit or a c/d line hit and determine if a follow up is needed instantly. Everything happens right in front of us but it takes a while for us to actually learn to see it. Once you do see it you make strides by huge leaps and bounds. Again just my opinion but I believe we all got into this for the fun aspect of the speed. Brian

There is a very informal match that is great to get your feet wet and get a safety check in Old Bridge on the 1st and 3rd friday of the month. It is about a 40 min ride for you. Get there by 7pm. Bring about 100 to 150 rounds, a pistol with a holster and at least 4 magazines. Do not run out and buy magazine holders that you think will be good unless you research here or talk to people at the matches, For the indoor match you really do not need them. Outdoor Matches are close by in Jackson and Old Bridge on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month and you will need 200 to 250 rounds for those. Steel matches are also readily available in the area. get some arredondo 10 round limiting base plate inserts and do not take the standard plates with you. You can get them at shooters connection.

If all you want is a trigger job I would just get a good drop in kit and just make light adjustments to the spring. I bought a Brazos kit when my sear/hammer went south and could not be happier.

In the video posted by Sandro there appears to be a member of a film crew there. Is there going to be a Nats Video available or was it just a local news crew?

GT Targets or MGM both of whom are in the vendors area. There really is no such thing as cheap movers unless you buy an old one from a club.

I occasionally will see what I will describe as an aura around everything. Dark around light colored objects and light around dark objects. It lasts only a minute until I am actually waking up.

I agree with using Brazos. Order a tuned one instead of asking him at the Nats.

A Case feeder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How does it work. I always wished they made one for my SDB but I now have a 650 with one. Still have the SDB though. Great press that I used for more than 15 years before upgrading.

Call RCBS. I am sure they will get it working for you. They have been helpful the few times I have called. I would think that that plastic retainer in the feed die is either not in correctly or worn out.

Kellube here. I have been using the same bottle for 10 years. Never really had an isue with it.

I just got back from my indoor match. The gun was perfect. Sighted in close enough for the distance we were shooting and digested Bob's load and my standard length minor load without a single malfunction. I did end up with a few misses but I think I was pushing the envelope a little bit and they seemed to occur on targets that I was shooting over the slide and not actually aiming on. I had fun though. Mag release button was not an issue at all and I only noticed the grip safety once and thst was on LMR. Overall I am exttremely pleased with my HP Edge. It shoots a lot softer than my old limited gun, looks great and shoots great. I have a feeling there is a lot more limited shooting in my future. Thanks Again. Another Happy Customer! Brian

I have been using the pro chrono pal for years and have been extremely happy with it's performance and consistency.

Well I got the sherer, pollished it a lttle more with the dremel and cloth wheel, and installed it. You where right about it being mushy. It is a lot lighter feeling and not so mushy that it cant be used. I am confident that I will be able to shoot better with it at speed but I do wish it was more crisp in the let off. I will shoot it on Friday. I may try a different connector in the future or just ultimately get one of the 2 trigger kits posted above. The good thing about Glocks is that you can experiment on the cheap to see what you like. I do think that the .25 job with the connector is probably more than good enough for me at this point. The Sevigny Sights????? How easy are they to install by myself? Should I go to a gunsmith or can a Glock Armorer do it???? Brian

I just picked up my new limited gun earlier today, a High Performance Edge. After giving it a good once over I can honestly say that I am extremely pleased and happy with my decision to order same. The fit and finish are great. Everything is tight but smooth at the same time. The front sight's fiber optic is perfectly clean and the trigger seems very nice right from the box. It looked and felt great and I am sure it will shoot that way as well. I have always had trouble with my support hand grip dropping mags when using buttons of anykind on my other Limited and Open guns but after dry firing and just playing around with the grip I may be able to actually use the release button. I will experiment with it during live fire to make sure it can stay. The only thing I may need to work on is the grip safety. It disengages earlier than I expected but I will either pin it or take off a little more material so that it releases almost immediately. I will wait until I have a few sessions with it to see if it is an issue during live fire. If it isn't then I will not change a thing. I will be shooting it this Friday in an informal indoor match, I hope you sighted it in for me Bob , I may not have too much time before the match to sight it in properly. Overall I am really happy with my purchase and look forward to many years of use from it. I will report back after I put some rounds through it. Brian

I found out that I have a LEO model that has the 5.5 connector in it. I did the .25 trigger job and I have a smooth take up to a 5.0 to 5.5lb pull. (Lyman Digital) The slide is still stock and I will not make any changes to it at this time. I have a 3.5 sherer on the way and I would be happy if it will keep the smooth prep and let off around 4 or under. I like the sights for now but if I ever take production seriously I will get them changed. I have shot it twice already in 2 informal matches and it has worked great. I have no intention of getting rid of it. I just have to start dry firing it to get used to the grip angle.

We have to get away from thinking that a member gets more representation because they have less members in an area and therefore there is more weight for that area. Take the political climate out of the equation. We are all shooters and we all support the 2nd amendment. I have been all over the east coast and shooters are shooters no matter where I am. Same converstations take place. You guys have those converstaions over better tasting barbeque and we have it over better Italian food. In todays day and age an argument can be made that there is no need for areas at all. The membership can vote online and just have section coordinators elected. Championships can just be sectional with majors being east, central, west and then National. With less major maches I could argue that the major matches would be better because more people would participate, but they would have too wouldn't they? We all saw what happened last time "Change" was used a a reason. Brian

Dat must be one messed up SVI open gun. I was refering to the feel of the gun in my hand. I am used to, and comfortable with, the STIs and SV but I still prefer the general feeling of the para. A lot of times it just feels right. I got my start on them and never had bad luck with them. My P14 now has a cracked frame but it has well over 50k rounds and probably closer to 80-90k. The crack was in the rail above the slide stop opening. I opened it up with a dremel and it still shoots great.

Yes Always used them. Always check them to see if they extend beyond the edges of the back of the guide rod. I just take an exacto to them if they do. You do not want them rubbing the slide at all. (learned that the hard way).

P14 is a 45 that holds 14 rounds in stock mags. Easy to get to 17-18 rounds with Dawson base pad. P16 is the .40 cal and has 16 round stock capacity. Easily gets 20 in mags and I have seen them get 21 and 22 in legal length mags, again with Dawson base pad. Paras are extremely competitive but seem to be loved or hated depending on what preconceptions you have. I still have an old P14 that has fired more rounds than I care to guess and overall it still has a better feel to me than my SV Open gun. Brian

I do not use cleats at all. I use Adidas ATSs. I was told was a climbers approach shoe (sneaker). They have a really aggressive sole with deep channels and the sole also extends beyond the structure of the shoe itself in the heel. I feel that they are better for when I am on props such as bridges and are more comfortable on realy hard packed dirt. I would say they lose out a little to the cleats in a wet grass/unstable ground area.
